Delicious coffee. Been coming here for about 2 + years, but did my eyes deceive me today when I saw a 5 dollar increase for a... bag of coffee beans? From 14 to 19 for Sumatra? I know we are experiencing inflation, but wow, unless I am missing something,this seems like a giant disproportionate price hike. I'll have to find another source. Read more
An exceptional roaster and coffee shop. I've seen a few coffee businesses start strong but then decline in quality as they... expanded. These guys have really kept it up for at least a couple years and I hope they don't change. Some creative flavoredoptions but all of their drip and even espresso is excellent unadulterated. Read more
Lovely location, super comfortable interior, really nice staff members. I tried the cold brew and it was just ok. Kind of had... that sour taste that some brews have and it isn?t my favorite. Would love to go back and try their lattes and teas as they seemto have a lot of different options. If anything, I recommend just stopping by for the experience. It was so lovely just sittingin their common area and chatting with my friend. Now to my standard COVID comments as of March 2022. Interior was super cleanwhich was reassuring. Those saying "By far the best coffee shop in the area"...100% agree. Not only do they have great coffee, but their staff is... super friendly, and the shop itself is just such a great environment to be in whether for social get-together with friends,events, or for studying. I've just recently come across the shop, and it's already my new favorite place! Read more
10/21/18 - My wife and I finally stopped over at Black River Roasters, a socially responsible coffee shop serving organic coffee... in Whitehouse Station, NJ. The coffee selection is good. We each ordered chai lattes and they were fantastic. The staff wasvery nice and friendly. There are a few seats on the first floor. There is also large a lounge area with sofas and tables onthe second floor. There is complementary WiFi for customer use. The coffee shop is visible from Route 22 and there is plentyof parking. We have found our new "go-to" local coffee shop. Read more
Coffee and prices are good but they need to work on their speed. Sometimes it takes up 10min to get a cup of cappuccino. They... have enough staff they are just not organized?.Or maybe get another espresso machine so that two people can make drinkssimultaneously. Read more
