Today's dining experience was not what I have come to expect from Cracker Barrel. We arrived at 12:23. We expected to wait,... given the time. We were seated at about 1:02. It took awhile for the wait staff to arrive and take or order, which we receivedabout 30 minutes later. We had the chicken and dumplings. One order was the main entree and the other was a side. It was coldand the chicken was almost non existent. The mashed potatoes and gravy were also cold. I know the restaurant industry is stilltrying to recover from COVID-19 and look forward to a better experience during our next visit. The best part was having lunchwith my wife! We also enjoyed the gift shop and found a deal to give us an early start on our Christmas shopping. I should alsomention that the staff and other patrons were nice and friendly. Read more
Had a fantastic experience at the Cracker Barrel in Whitestown. I believe our waitress name was Kris and she was amazing. This... is what customer service really is. Even though it was busy, she was attentive and polite. I never had to call for her oranything. She had great timing with her refills and asking if we needed anything. She was neat and clean with her hair up andneat and nails and hands were clean. She always had a smile on her face. Our food was great! It actually looked like thepictures on the menu. It was hot and fresh. The watermelon lemonade was spectacular. And I couldn't believe I found some Bit-O- Honey and Mary Jane candy in their store area! I didn't have an issue with this cracker barrel at all. Everyone was friendly, the facility was very clean, even the bathrooms!... The staff was a little short, but, it's that way everywhere. We had a nice late breakfast! The country fried steak and eggs, thepancakes and the grits and the sausage, the coffee, everything was just perfect. And, as you know, I always check the bathrooms!If they are clean, I will eat there! If they aren't clean, I'll leave! The cleanliness of a bathroom always purports thecondition of the kitchen. I have had some bad experiences in the last few months from cracker barrel, so I must share this tremendously pleasurable... experience I had at cracker barrel of Whitestown IN. The server, I think Niki, was on it like a professional; she was caring,kind, and accommodating. I was tremendously hungry and wanted a little bit of everything, and she got it, no questions asked. Idrink A LOT of water, and my glass never was empty more than just a few minutes before it was filled. The food was outstandingand rekindled my love of cracker barrel. The staff here has definitely strengthened my faith and love of these nostalgic,iconic, and beloved restaurants. Always love going to crackle barrel for breakfast. Their pancakes are drool worthy. I love the little individual maple syrup... bottles they give with it too. Make sure to get your hash brown extra crispy- you won?t regret it! The store attached is alwaysnice and fun to check out. This was a very busy Cracker Barrel...more than usual. True it was Sunday after church, but it was BUSY! We had a 35 minutes... wait, but we were waiting for part of our party to arrive so we waited on the porch enjoying the breeze. The food was down homedelicious. I love that they make breakfast all day! Those biscuits are heavenly! The restaurant was clean and the employees wereall friendly. Restrooms were clean and stocked. We enjoy browsing in the country store and choosing nostalgic candy. CrackerBarrel just does this right!! Read more
Came in to eat with family we had called 3 weeks ago because was going to be a large party so they took reservation. Got there... tonight and tables were not together we asked if they could be together or at least closer and was told it is either where youare or nothing by the manager. I am in restaurant business and have been for years and will say have never heard a manager talkto a paying customer like he did myself and my brother. Then about 10 minutes later sat a big party exactly where we had askedto be seated. Manager needs to really work on his people skills Read more
