We go to this restaurant from time to time and I?m always hopeful it will be better than it is. They are always clean, the staff... is usually helpful, and the menu is expansive. But. The good while looking good on the menu doesn?t live up to the finalproduct. Portions seem small and not much meat to the sandwiches. Their tea and lemonade are great though as well as thedeserts. Ordered a bowl of chicken tortilla soup and garden salad. Paid for an extra dressing. Well I got a half filled bowl of chk... tortilla soup, no tortillas for the soup, and garden salad that looked pretty gross with no salad dressing. They seem to onlyhave teenagers working there who are joking around and no adult supervision. Not good at all! Worst one I've ever been to. Read more
Visited the McAlister's in Whitestown Indiana for dinner along with several others. Our order for four was just over $50.00. I... attempted to pay with a $100.00 bill in which both the attendant and manager stated that they could not accept a $100.00 billand could only accept $50.00 bills. Since when has a $100.00 bill become "not legal tender"? And has simple math eluded basiceducation? If they will accept a $50.00 bill and my bill came to just over $50.00 then that tells me that they should have beenable to accept the $100.00 bill and provide the correct change due. I am not sure if this is a specific McAlister's policy or abroad policy set by McAlister's but was very disappointed. And to know that the group we were with spent well over $400.00.Highly disappointed and when asked for the owner/ operators information I was advised that they could "write it down". Read more

My french dip was mostly fatty meat, couldn?t eat most of it. My bread bowl was only half scooped out and it was extremely stale... bread. I got maybe 1/4 cup of soup in it and it was so stale that the bread didn?t even partially soak up any of the soup.Employees seemed absolutely miserable which is sad, felt sorry for them. **Edit: I?m not sure if there is new management but it seems like there has been improvement. This is the second time I have... came and my cheese hasn?t been a full cup. I ordered the nacho basket and a cup of chili. Paying $7.00 for a half full cup ofcheese and a few chips is ridiculous. Read more
