I had a taste for rice. Added xtra shrimp which was high for and additional $5 bucks but okay fine whatever. Then I get home and... this rice is plain as white rice . Like there?s nooo flavor whatsoever. And the egg rolls were twice fried & gross. $22 bucksdown the drain. I guess if this is your only option then hey eat it. I mean the person helping me was super nice and I saw somesaucy looking orange chicken. But I had taste for good rice and didn?t feel like driving to A-fusion to get it. I have this establishment on speed dial. Anyone who has ever eaten here has always said "that's the best [place food item here]... I've ever had! And they are so generous with the size of their dishes.. Literally brought my dad there once and he now drivesfrom Dyer just to bask in the light that is King Chop Suey. Go there. You won't regret it. I don't waste my time posting reviewsunless it's the best or worst and in this case, well.. Long live the King. Read more
Best in area. I just revisited and had some great chicken egg full young. And I know these are the best egg rolls in town.... Cabbage and vege's chopped fine with a perfectly crispy wrapping. You'll love it. Read more
We go to King Chop Suey when we want Chinese food. The Happy Family is a favorite as well as the Egg Rolls! The food is hot and... freshly prepared and is a good serving for the money. Read more
We ordered a bit too much food since we were inexperienced when it came to Chinese food. We were kindly told it was too much... food for 2 people, and they were right! As good as the food was, we couldn't finish it and took it home. Great and honestpeople working there and good hospitality. They truly deserve the rating they have on Google. Read more
We're thankful we have such a great Chinese restaurant in Whiting. They are carry-out only due to the current health situation,... but the food was ready when they said it would be, it was hot and almost all excellent. The shrimp egg rolls are great! The fried rice is great! The pot stickers are great! The portions are ridiculous! I've had a few... different things on their menu and it has never disappointed, its reasonably priced and made to order. Give it a try and you'lldefinitely be back Read more
This is without contest, the worst Chinese "food" place I have ever gone to in my life! I ordered the pepper steak lunch meal... and it was awful. The rice, tasted like four day old white rice, that had been saturated with water, a sprinkling of soy sauceand some greyish hued, bits of unidentifiable "meat". The pepper "steak", was so salty, that after a few bites, my head began tohurt as my heart rate rose. So much so that I am in the e.r. now, as I write this. I plan to follow through with food inspectorsas well as legal counsel. This is very serious and king chop suey at this location, should be shut down for good.. Read more
