Totally a bonus surprise of the day. Nice taste of interior decor and background music. Contemporary country style blended with... a subtle sense of rustic industrial. Every dish we ordered was beyond expectation. Everything was perfectly seasoned just tothe point. Neither to greasy nor saucy but just flavorful and fresh (even the coleslaw). The desserts were not made in house butwere carefully selected. The blueberry cheesecake was rich in terms of creamy flavor but not too sweet at all. The wildblueberry jam brought it to an exceptional level. The highlight of chocolate tart was the nutty bottom layer made of toastedtree nuts. Kudos to the detail oriented owner. We stumbled apon this lil gem of a cafe while walking down the main strip in wairton. Beautiful dinning room, decor. Very clean.... Staff were attentive and very friendly. My daughter and I had a hard time choosing our food as the menu sounded spectacular. Wewent with the KD bowl, and the blacked chicken on a chiabata bun with a very fresh side salad. This seems like a local favourite but the food but the experience was so-so for me. My party of 5 arrived and even though there... were empty tables, we were told that it would be an hour wait because the tables were reserved already. We opted for take outbut the food took over 30min to to be prepared. The chicken wrap was well made, with a nicely flavoured salad element on theinside and chicken breast that wasn't overcooked. I would order this again if I came back. The chicken poutine was incrediblysalty though, the dish couldn't be finished between 2 people because it was just too salty. The beef sandwich was also ok. Definitely way better than a fast food chain and the food feels like its home made. Read more
This is a beautiful little romantic spot with delicious food. Incredibly friendly and clean! My boyfriend got the Steak Frits... and I got the Smash Burger. What a great find in Wiarton! Stopped in for lunch with few expectations and we were pleasantly surprised. Two great mains. I... had the Kickin' Chicken Club with the soup. My wife had the fanciest grilled cheese and shoestring fires we've seen in a while.The service from Sierra was terrific, very welcoming, prompt and with a smile. Thank you for a great experience.
