Out of all the places with free meals for Vets, my family and I chose here, and we were more than grateful to have. Of course it... was great food! Have never failed us there. And it was not a good place to eat a few years ago. Now so much better. The old 47th street used to have weird added stuff to... each recipe and we were treated like cattle years ago. If you were drinking booze then they wanted you to stay if you were justeating they tried to rush you through it. Improved 100% at least at the lunch time. Read more
Sorely disappointed in my most recent visit and definitely a reminder as to why we don't look at his place as a go-to for... dining. Less than a mile away from home but I would still drive across town and wait 45 minutes at Texas Roadhouse to avoidgoing here. Saturday night, kids are gone, me and my wife decided to go get a quick bite. Wanted to stay close, so here we go. As we walk in the door we are offered a high table sandwiched between a wall and a large group with loud children (note thatthere were several open tables at this point). Come on... that's like pairing toothpaste with O.J. We refused it and waited aminute or two for something else. We opted for a 2 for 27 deal--steaks, veggies, potatoes and side salad. Salads come out andimmediately we recognized that the lettuce was wilted and somewhat soggy. My wife ate 2 bites and was done, I shoved all of thesoggy algae lettuce to one side and powered through. My wife also noted that she could feel the bottom of her dish was gritty. Yes, dried food. We talked about our regret coming here until the rest of the food came out vowing not to complain to thewaitress as she was the only good part of the visit. We both ordered a 6 oz. steak, but a noticeable difference in shape andsize between the 2 was obvious---I am talking silver dollar pancake to 1/2 plate size chicken fried steak obvious...a goodreason if any for someone to complain. Potatoes were runny. Plain, unseasoned broccoli. Not to any surprise at all, both ofour plates had dried on food all over the bottom--now I started to question the cleanliness of the plate as a whole. On aflavor and food quality scale of 1-10, I gave it a 2. It's sad this establishment has fallen so far off our radar. The food was absolutely delicious. I gave service a three because we ordered appetizers, and it arrived the same time our food... was delivered. (We waited almost 30 mins.) We were not very happy about it; but on the bright side it was a lovely occasionbecause I was with my husband and kiddos. Read more
We ha d a large party but we had called ahead, gave the number of people and an approximate time. We was told no problem. When... we arrived, the current staff knew nothing about and was not set up. We got seated and then things fell apart. Orders weretaken by 2 people and when tried to get tickets as straight as possible as we had people on the same ticket sitting at multipletables. Food came in a decent time and was good. When it came time to pay, we waited over an hour for them to get the ticketsstraight. Had to tell them multiple time what exactly we had ordered and finally had to go down to the manager stand to standthere and take care of it. This caused a disruption for their other staff and they were rude about it. We received 1 apology andwhen we left there was no thank please come again. Read more
Waitress was in training and even with the other waitress knowing her job still couldn't get the order right and after giving... $50 for my bill she never offered me my change or anything even asking 5 times and asked another waitress for a manager and shesaid manager had stepped out. This Applebee's needs serious proper training from the company or CEO to go without anyone knowingand order and watch how they are treated. If I managed this restaurant I would do some serious investigating in every waitresson how they treat their customers. Read more
Very small sized hamburger not worth the ten bucks buns were hard. Steak was decent my steak was pretty good . Waitress was... great had Alot of patience lol. All in a STAFF WAS GREAT THE MEALS REALLY NOT WORTH THE PRICE. WHAT DIDN'T HELP WAS KNATS FLYINGAROUND BUT SEEMED TO BE just at our table and one other. Read more
I came here with my family knowing it was a good place to eat but I'm impressed. It was all absolutely on point. The chicken was... delicious, juicy and tender, the shrimp and mashed potatoes were great and the seasonal adult beverage was frosty, flavorful andcomes with an optional additional shot on the side. The customer service was incredible, everything was right and they evenchecked in on us occasionally to be sure. Overall this was a very good experience and I plan on eating here again. Read more
