I met my daughter there for a late lunch. The food wasn't up to it's usual par. Our favorite go-to is the tortilla soup. It... wasn't as thick as it used to be, as if it had been watered down, and the avocados had black spots on them. The one savinggrace, beyond getting to spend time with my daughter, was the waitstaff. They were hilarious and friendly and more than made upfor the sub par soup. Read more

First off: the dish presentation was excellent!!! That's 5 stars alone. Taco salad reimagined, I like it. Tasted great and... filling. Service was good too. The only thing is the restaurant seemed off, like really dated. Plus they didn't have theingredients to my first drink order. Not a bother like the dining room was tho. Slightly disappointed in this El Chico, Waitress was nice, but not on point, great atmosphere overall in the restaurant, super... nice manager, could not get our meal in a timely manner . We had a 30 minute wait after ordering, while we watched 3 othercustomers get seated after us , and meals way before us . Then the meal came, fajita nachos with wanky tasting small portions ofmeat, chicken fajita salad poorly prepared lacking veggies, and there top shelf beef fajita enchiladas that came with out anysauce in or on them , poorly prepared with wanky tasting meat precut into little cubes. The manager was outstanding, the chipsand salsa along with the Caso was great, drinks were good. Normally because of the issues we would not go back, but because ofthe managers efforts, and the starters,,we will give them a second chance. Hopefully they will square the cook staff away, andget the wait staff to step up their game. We'll be back soon! Read more
We stop through on our way home to San Angelo Tex. I Love to watch the interaction between wait staff, open kitchen, and... management. They work seamlessly together.
