Me and my son went today after lunch to share a plate. We are new to area and trying to try out all the local restaurants. Not... disappointed. After working (years ago) in a local Italian restaurant this reminded me of the place. We had the tour of italyand shared it. Very big portion. We took an array of desserts home for family very good. We did not dine in, so we cannot rate the table service, but we did enjoy Roberto's very excellent take out. Rated... comparatively against Italian restaurants in Central Florida within perhaps 50 miles from the Villages, Roberto's in theVillages would rate a solid 5-Star, but due to the chef or one of his cooks being VERY heavy handed with the garlic, we have togive them a 4 or 4½-star. We enjoyed and recommend the Sea Bass Amalfi with perfectly done pasta and the Stuffed Shells, bothwith side salad and an excellent house dressing, but you will probably want to request less garlic than usual in both entrees. Busy at prime time. It took a long time to get our meal even though salad and breadsticks were on the table timely. Food was... really good specially their garlic bread. Great place fun atmosphere good staff. Lasagna was tasty. Went to celebrate their 3rd anniversary. We will go back soon!

Short staffed & super busy! We arrived around 5:45 & they had a few tables available...at least 3 other parties waiting when we... left. We were greeted with a smile. In spite of the short staffing, the servers were doing an excellent job. The kitchen was alittle slow, so our server brought out extra garlic knots...these babies will keep the vampires away, woah! We shared a smallhouse salad & a good thing because a small is big! I'd only suggest a little cheese on top. The large marhgarita pizza came outhot with a wonderful crispy crust. Ok, first time here. Good, not great. Service was okay. Need to reserve, very busy.Pasta fagioli was bland. Gnocchi was good... (had with marinara sauce), antipasto was okay, nothing to write home about. Will try again, but not in a hurry to return. Read more
