This place was Amazing. Jim was in my 45 years of living the best restaurant manager I have ever experienced. The guy was... personable knowledgeable just an all around good guy. The kitchen was closed, but we really wanted dessert and he without usknowing comes out with this plate of warm delicious lava cake that ended the night perfectly. Decent restaurant. The food was very good, the location is excellent, but the interior of the restaurant could use some work. It... is a little small in the waiting areas and a bit crowded at the entrance. Also, I would suggest better methods of cleaning bothduring and after meals. While we were eating, the table was never fully cleaned in between courses and our table wasn't fullyclean when we arrived. Besides this, the ambience was very nice and there are views of the ocean. Service was so so , not experienced waitresses , ok. Momentarily forget what we ordered Sushi is 2 out of 5 Taste good , BUT... very thin slices of sashimi in a place like that ? Sorry can do much better ! Here is funniest part - shrimp appetizer- 4 piecesof shrimp- $22 , overcooked ! This place is small but nice and clean. The staff was good. We loved the food. I usually only ever review something that is... really good and worth 5 stars. The food here definitely was worth 5 stars. I had probably the best waffles I've ever had in mylife, Sugar Pearl Waffles. We also tried the breakfast quesadillas and blueberry pancakes, everything was delicious. The onlyreason I knocked a star off was because we are traveling with a child and they didn't seem to acknowledge her. It sounds odd butnot something we've ever experienced, which is why it stuck out. When we were all seated she wasn't given a menu,napkin/utensils and when we asked for water for all of us she wasn't give one either. She's not a baby, she's 6 but it's likeshe wasn't even there. Breakfast here was good, nothing special. I just had an omelette and toast which should taste pretty much the same everywhere.... Our server was amazing though - she was funny and fun! My friends who I was with though said they didn’t like their icedcoffee, seems like they just poured room temp hot coffee over ice. Read more

This is a very nice place to come have dinner at. Both the inside and outside is nice but we decided to sit outside during our... stay. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks and had a great time! We had an excellent birthday dinner here with a party of 10. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. Our table was already... set up with two high chairs before we arrived. The server, Virginia, took time to learn the birthday boy's name and treated himand us with great care. We ordered a variety of drinks, apps and entrees: martini, rum punch, cape may IPA, pina colada, beersalad, sushi, salmon, swordfish, burgers and crab cakes. All of the food was excellent. It came out hot and within a reasonableamount of time, about 40 minutes after ordering. I'd definitely recommend Coastal Blue to anyone. Read more
