I am currently writing this review while eating and let me tell you how AMAZING THIS FOOD IS!!!!!!! The chef is beyond TALENTED... how he makes everything from scratch and it tastes like HEAVEN!!!!! I was looking for a vegan spot to eat at and came across this spot. I called in my order of spicy buffalo ceasar wrap, peanut... butter milkshake and vegan mac and cheese. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked into a homely feel restaurant.I spoke to the owner for a bit and he was cool and down to earth. My food came to about $19 and I paid and left. When I got tomy room I dug in. The peanut butter milkshake was tasty and different. The wrap was just ok and the mac was so good. This placehit the spot and I would return. Read more
A place to go out of the way for. Also, the best fried chik?n I?ve tried. This place is a godsend for home style American food.... It?s owned by a chef and his mother, where they make everything from scratch. I?m talking meats, cheese, even the milkshake icecream base is made from scratch. The food is heavenly, and the ambiance is extremely cozy. We had the KFC platter, chef specialburger, and 3 sides- Mac and cheese, chilli, and cole slaw. I hadn?t been home to WB in almost 6 years and was happy to see some good vegan food that?s almost exclusively made in house.... Hands down the best vegan mac and cheese I?ve ever had. The owners are super friendly. Prices are great for how much food youget. Will definitely be coming back next time I?m in town. Read more
Woah! Best vegan nachos we have ever had, hands down! Umami Gorilla is a 10/10! The staff is friendly and super helpful and... there are so many options! It took us a long time to decide. We got the Nacho Supreme and the Bullet Proof Burger with theRenegade Patty (which is huuuge!) everything is super flavorful and when they say big portions they mean big portions. We alsograbbed some Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Brownies and they were honestly the best vegan brownies I?ve ever had. We got Mac andCheese on the side and I would highly recommend that as well. We are traveling from Northern Michigan to NE Pennsylvania andare trying to hit as many vegan spots as we can because there isn?t much where we are from.
