Today was our first time coming here. The lady that took care of us was super sweet. I had the carne asada burrito (I'm not... plant based anymore lol) and my husband, who remained in the car with our dog, ordered the carne asada torta and fries.... Oh mygoodness! Everything was so delicious (husband brought his food home), fresh ingredients, and excellent service. The interior ofthe restaurant is really pretty too. This place is now my favorite Mexican restaurant spot and we will be back ???? I hope tosee them prosper. It truly is a hidden gem in Wilkes Barre!!! Read more

PSA: To any of my AUTHENTIC restaurant lovers. I found a little hidden gem in Wilkes Barre and I HAD to share with you guys. My... Little Mexico, a small business you’ve probably passed many of times, has made the BEST and most fresh mexican dishes I’veever eaten. I’ve tried every mexican spot Google has recommended to me on my phone and NOTHING compares. Everything they makeis prepared FRESH and delicious as you order. From homemade tortillas for their tacos to the homemade salsas and guacamole allthe way to their NEXT LEVEL mexican dishes, which have been consistently tasty and fresh. I can not emphasize enough how greatthis place is. Next time you are in Wilkes Barre, do yourself a huge favor and stop by for some of the best food you’ve evereaten!! Read more

The rice was soooooo good. And the taco carnitas were delicious! We also ordered the usual: quesadilla, beans, tacos of chorizo,... etc. They did not have pico de gallo, so I am finally convinced that it is not a staple of authentic Mexican food, so I am okwith that. The corn tacos were single layered - not like in El Limon, but they had a considerably large amount of meat, as youcan see in the pictures. We arrived at an unusual time -about 3:30 pm, so the place was empty. Yes, we were served almostimmediately, and everything looked -and tasted- fresh. Read more

Good but not great. The guacamole is more like pico de Gallo with a few chunks of avocado. It was mostly onions cilantro and... tomatoes. The tinga tacos were good. Take out service was fast. Read more

I’ll give it 3 stars because the food was ok tasting and the people were really nice. Unfortunately, it could have been much... better. We ordered water to drink and were brought bottles, which we were charged for. No biggie, but a heads up would have beennice that they don’t offer any tap water. The service was odd. Tables that came in after us got their food before us. I sawother tables where half of the people had finished their meals when the other half were just getting there’s. The food istasty but there is an over abundance of raw onion in everything. Even our $5 guacamole consisted mostly of raw onion chunks. Thefood was very salty. The homemade corn tortillas were delicious. The bathroom floor was sticky. If you choose to give it a tryand don’t love onion ask for any onion to be served on the side. Unless you really like onions, pass on the guacamole. Read more

Great find off the highway. My wife and I look for these places when we travel and glad we stopped here. The steak burrito and... steak tacos were delicious. We agreed the burrito edged out the tacos. The menudo was authentic - it's much better than youmight think! We also had some churros which was good. Even the salsa served with chips is much better than you'd get at thestandard Mexican restaurants. I would wager this is one of the better Mexican restaurants in a 50 mile radius. It is alsoBYOB! The staff was courteous and helpful. They said the location had only been open a year. The bathrooms were clean. It's asolid 5 star for NEPA food. Only one downside which is not a fault of the restaurant. All the food delivery services whichpickup here park handicap or between the handicap parking spots render the ramp up to the sidewalk obstructed. Otherwise a verywheelchair friend restaurant.
