The venue and view were incredible yet the food didn't live up to that standard. The food all looked really great as it went by... on the servers' trays, and to be fair, it was good. We had three lunch plates at our table (chicken sandwich, fish tacos, andturkey club), and each was average or just slightly above. No bold flavors to excite the taste buds. Read more
One of my favorite places in Lake Geneva. Right on the lake with dining inside and out. Fine dining at that. Real good food.... Great atmosphere. Live music at times. A little pricy, but worth it. Most of my time spent here has been as a stop on the FatTire ride around the lake in September, but I’ve been here other times, as well. In fall and summer, mostly. They enclosetheir outdoor patio when the weather gets colder and it’s a great place to watch football games or other sports. Real niceplace to visit when going to Lake Geneva. Highly recommend! Good food and great service! Love the dedication that the servers have! We got the watermelon salad and the impossible burger... which were very good! The impossible burger didn't come with a bun and so if you order that and want a bun, just be sure to askfor one. Read more
What a great place. We sat outside on the patio overlooking Lake Geneva. The blackened tuna salad was great. My wife enjoyed the... crab cake. The staff is plentiful and very attentive. The drinks are superb! Highly recommend the Old Fashioned pressed and theHappy Ending. They also had live music - solo with guitar. Highly recommend! Read more
This was our second visit to Pier 290 and it was fantastic! The food was excellent (the bone in pork chop was to die for) and... the atmosphere was lively and fun! We were very impressed with the band, D'Lite Duo! We visit Lake Geneva at least a few times ayear and this will definitely be a regular stop. Also, the berry waffle might be the best fruity summer dessert we've ever had! Read more
Let's start with good: Great location and memorable views, especially during the sunset. The place itself is spacious and clean.... Service is attentive and polite, and generous food portions. The not so good: For the price, you would expect food to be moresophisticated, it was no different than what a decent bar would serve you. Read more
My immediate impression was that this restaurant was a lot bigger than it looked – seems like there were somehow more people... in this restaurant than in the whole town. I wasn't concerned as there was good air flow and tables were spaced sufficiently farapart. We loved the food here: I ordered a roasted apple salad while my dinner companion got the Portobello mushroom burger.I'm not normally one to seek out salads at restaurants but this one was too appetizing to pass up. All-in-all, it was a greatexperience and there's enough on the menu to appeal to everyone in your party. Read more
