This place is phenomenal! Aziel and the chef Carlos are amazing. It wasn?t just dinner, it was an experience. I got the Burrito... Bandera and my girlfriend got the Chicken Fajita and they both came out piping hot and delicious. The staff here are friendlyand the atmosphere is amazing. It\'s as good as they say it is. Great service, excellent food, reasonable prices. And the giant beer and sangria is a plus.... Definitely going back. Read more

We dined here on Friday, August 12, 2022, for dinner. Which was excellent. This area is a good one for camarones, locally... known as shrimp, and the menu at Seven Seas really does offer a wide variety of seafood dishes in addition to pages of moreconventional Mexican dishes. Service was skillful and rapid, although we arrived in the middle of Friday Happy Hour and expectedto have to wait. Sheila and I enjoyed the Presidential Margaritas while waiting a short time for the dinners.\n\n7 Mares is notso flamboyant as most of the other Mexican Restaurants on the Peninsula, and in fact the low-key black and grey decor is quiterefreshing: it is not a large restaurant, and it is not a boisterous restaurant, seemingly aimed at an older population?which ofcourse Willamsburg can supply. On Friday evening, the food was elegantly plated and served. Portions are generous, and meats andvegetables seem very fresh indeed. The only thing on our plates that seemed a little plaintive was the Spanish Rice, but that isan item often abused everywhere.\n\nI returned alone on Tuesday evening, August 16, 2022, hoping I could duplicate theexperience I had the previous Friday. I can only suppose there was a different chef?the meal was certainly satisfying, but theplating was careless and the flair was missing. Service was still excellent, but I was glad that I had brought the family onFriday!\n\nWe will return to 7 Mares, often, I am sure; and we will recommend it to others, as it has a solid and extensive menufor breakfast, lunch and dinner, and it has its own bar menu which seems very competently executed and reasonably priced. It iscertainly quieter than average even when it is packed, and it is fully staffed with experienced waiters. I wish them well! Read more
