I hate leaving a low review for this place, the scenery and staff were great. Unfortunately the food was really bad, I don't... understand the high reviews. On the walk in I saw some other plates people had ordered, the hot dog and the chili, both lookedunappetizing. The hot dog was a light pink and glistening with fat, like those you can buy in packs of 25 for a dollar. Thechili looked watery and greasy with big chunks of onions thrown on top, just looked unappetizing. We ordered the French dip,chicken salad sandwich, seafood bisque and creamy red pepper soup. The sandwiches were ok, the fresh baked bread was thehighlight of the sandwich and about the only redeeming part of the meal. The French dip was pretty bland, and the jus it camewith seemed like hot water. The chicken salad was similarly "ok", but we definitely felt like we make better sandwiches athome. The soups were a complete stomach turning disaster. The creamy red pepper soup was gray and bland, I was unable to locateany red pepper at all, and it really resembled dirty dishwater. I was unable to eat it. The seafood bisque appeared to be theexact same soup except with a little old bay and what appeared to be dried shrimp thrown in it. It similarly was not eaten, andwe all felt queasy for about an hour and a half after eating there. We were going to order dessert but after tasting the fooddecided against it. I will personally never come here again, but if you find yourself coming here, I would recommend settingyour expectations low, ordering only a sandwich, and taking in the beautiful scenery. Cute little local lunch dive with a wonderful view of the airport. We went around 1:45, after the lunch rush, and they only had... wheat ???? bread left, which ruled out sandwiches for us. Guess we need to be earlier! Although we don't eat wheat bread, thesandwiches on the menu sounded good. ???? Did get the tuna salad "salad" which was fresh and the tuna was deliciously prepared. Ranch dressing was quite thin. Would have liked to have a clean table to eat off of but you can see from my pics that theplace was swamped with people so the waitress couldn't keep up! I have to say, the service wasn?t that great. The waitress acted like we were an inconvenience. But the food was a pleasant... surprise and the kids enjoyed watching the planes land and take off. Also, the photo doesn?t do the sandwich justice. It wasawesome. Read more
