I was visiting Williamsburg from out of town. I kept hearing rave reviews about Corey's so I wanted to try. I ordered the... whiting with yams and potato salad. The fish was not very well seasoned. The only thing I liked were the yams. My daughterordered the seafood platter. She said the crab cake was more breading than anything. I guess we are too critical about theseafood being from Maryland, but I digress. The service was excellent. Read more

We stopped here for lunch on our way to W&M based on the reviews and we were so happy we did. The chicken is excellent, but the... biscuits are to die for. I haven't had a biscuit that good since my grandmother passed. Stop in. The food is cooked fresh toorder. We also ordered a shrimp Po boy and the shrimp was fresh & delicious...not frozen. We will definitely stop in again Read more

Newly opened chicken place. The chicken was delicious my granddaughter had the cabbage she loved it along with her hamburger. I... thought it was funny to see Kool-Aid on the menu really brought back happy memories for me. The place nice and spacious. I likerestaurants that do not have customers sitting to close while eating. I love the pictures on the wall. I recommend morepaintings. Read more

Okay... Everybody reading the reviews are saying what's all the hype about in these reviews. Well the real story is all the food... is homemade and delicious!! Every customer that was sitting eating raved about their food. I had the pork chops dinner..two nicesized pork chops with sides of mashed potatoes and yams and they were fantastic!! Other people in the restaurant raved abouttheir own food also, the Whiting, Catfish and of course the freshly made fried chicken.. All the food fresh made and lookeddelicious. One of the most pleasant experiences about my short wait for fresh cooked food was meeting Corey himself. He is veryproud of his family and the recipes and great quality of food, and rightfully so!!! Go ahead and try this great little placebefore it gets on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives because it will!!! Family ran and operated serving awesome home cooked food likeyou are a guest in the kitchen of their home!! By the way that is Corey himself in the picture under the sign, say hello to himwhen you are there. Read more

I've always wanted good soul food when in Williamsburg and this time I found it at Corey's. From the greeting at the door to the... choice of kool aid or sweet tea this place is where you need to go for down home cooking. Look at the size of the biscuit!!! Igave five stars because of it. Soft and fluffy melt in your mouth sweet biscuit like grandma used to make only these gems werehumbly made by Mr. John. ???? It appeared to have a full kitchen of men cooking who threw down, the food was delicious. Talkabout Diners, drive-ins and dives; this place should be on it. I had fried wingettes which in my opinion should have been wholewings for the price but the taste and biscuits made me not complain about the cost. I also had fried shrimp and collards which Iusually don't eat but they were delicious and yams that I wish I could get mine to taste like. My hubby had fried chicken liverssmothered in onions and gravy, mashed potatoes and cabbage. Man!! y'all everything was delicious. Don't let the pics fool you,we took food home it was a lot. The tea and kool aid were sweet, reminded me of when i was a kid!!???? We dined in because theywere so very nice and there's take out. Not sure about delivery. So if you're in the mood for some good down home southern soulfood in Williamsburg get yourself over to Corey's it is truly worth the trip and is a new stop for us when we visit. Read more

I had the 4 piece chicken and 4 shrimp. Both were well seasoned and crispy. The greens were equally delicious. The corn pudding... was really sweet. At first I started not to eat anymore of it, but I tried another bite and it wasn't as sweet. I will eat therest of it tomorrow. Only 3 shrimp in the picture...I tried one while sitting in the car.???? Read more
