I like the plate of hush puppies and cornbreads served as soon as they sit you down. The fat tuna nachos though, I and everyone... else on the table didn’t like it. The chunks of cooked tuna does not go with the nachos, and it kind of numbs the roof of yourmouth and sometimes feels itchy on the gums also. The nachos were somewhat off compare to a regular nachos everywhere else. Thesame with the sushi rolls. They were good, but they were off compare to a real Japanese sushi rolls. There were somethingmissing or different from their ingredients or something. I would have given them a 2-star, but our server that night was verynice and friendly. I may still go back just to really figure out why or what makes their food taste different or somewhat off. Read more

Went for the lunch specials. Fried Calamari, stuffed flounder, shrimp parmesan and shrimp and scallop pasta. The pasta dishes... were our favorites and enough to share! Both the quality of food and quality of service were exceptional! The Chesapeake Oysters, named for their topping of Chesapeake... crab, were an excellent version to Oysters Rockefeller. My Whole Grilled Branzino was one of the best I have had. The hard charto the skin added layers of flavor that can easily be missed. The Steamship was one of the most flavorful traditional SteamBakes I have ever enjoyed. And to add to these great dishes was the incredibly personable service we received from Heidi.Thanks! The food was really good. The server was very pleasant. The Mac and cheese was not good at all. The avocado mash (guacamole)... is amazing! It was fresh and full of flavor. My crab stuff fish was also really good. Also the cornbread and hush puppies wasfantastic! Next Williamsburg trip that will definitely be our dinner spot. Read more

Looking for great seafood near williamsburg and we found fat tuna....Best decision ever! This was some of the best seafood... we've ever eaten! The She crab soup was amazing! Our server was awesome! Our second time while visiting Williamsburg with the family. First time was in 2017. Family friendly alternative to eating in... Colonial Williamsburg. Great food, large potions and fair prices. Staff was friendly but our waitress was super busy. She gotall the ordered correct and did a great job keeping up. I’d highly recommend Fat Tuna Grill and Oyster House. Food was fun andfresh. If you're looking for a seafood restaurant which is casual, family friendly and has variety, Fast Tuna is a good choice. The... quality of the seafood is great and the preparation is good. The service was really good and we could hear our server havingsome trouble with a request from another customer as they misunderstood that the clam pasta meant in shell clams so requestedthat the dish be taken back to the kitchen so that the shells be removed. When he understood the request he did have it done.The kitchen was a little slow and they could have seated customers further apart in the dining room as it is a big restaurantand not very full when we got there.
