Absolutely amazing. We are traveling to see our son at Ft. Eustis and I looked for local with good reviews. It did not... disappoint! It way exceeded our expectations. The food is good and fresh. The wine selection is out of this world. The dessertsare a different story- oh. my. gosh! Just. Happiness in my mouth! It is reasonably priced. Around $20/adult meal. Under $10 fordessert. 6 hungry adults (4 are young soldiers) for less than $200. I consider it a good deal! Glad I found this gem. Read more
Our server was excellent. We started with some very disappointing salads & what tasted like old bread. Our appetizer of... mozzarella and roasted peppers tasted good. We chose this place because it was open late, when we arrived after 9pm the place was still popping. Our server was excellent, ... the owner and/or manager is present in the dining area making sure costumers are happy. We ordered a philly sandwich,fettuccine, and pizza to share. We enjoyed it all. We ordered delivery from here twice during our vacation!!! I was blown away on how delicious their pizzas were!!! I was in love... with the seafood pizza, since I have never seen this on an American menu!! This was my favorite restaurant of our entire vacation. The food was savory, authentic, wonderful—no, it was just perfect. Sal's is the Real Deal in Italian restaurants! Wonderful pasta dishes ???? , great service, fantastic wine ???? cellar, and a... relaxing family vibe. Did I mention the desserts are divine?? Okay, first of all, let me say the food and our server really leveled this place up. It was a very busy Friday night and they... were one of the few places able to sit our party of 10 with no notice. There was a nice gentleman going around playing music,the place was bustling with people. If we were not in the corner, and my daughter not deathly afraid of bugs, we probably wouldnot have noticed the cockroach that climbed up the wall behind my daughter and disappeared behind a picture frame. It wasdisgusting and I had serious reservations about the cleanliness of the kitchen after that. If everything else had not been onpoint, we definitely would have immediately left. All of our dishes were tasty and cooked well and every other aspect of ourmeal was great. Read more
