Such a pleasant place. Small and quaint. Everything we get is delicious. The pastries are to die for. I'm always for supporting... our local businesses and this one is worth it. Read more

Absolutely fantastic food & service! We are from Pittsburgh & while visiting the area , decided to try it .as it came highly... recommended by our daughter & husband who live in the area.We are so so glad we did! I had pork chops, my wife had Weinerschnitzel, both were delicious. We had Cherry strudel& Tiramisu for dessert, just wonderful! It was so good we purchased a boxof fruit filled pastry/cookies to take with us, & they are incredible yummy too! We will definitely return when visiting thearea, & highly recommend this restaurant. The best chicken noodle and wedding soup I have ever had. And I have eaten a lot of soup. Actually made me a little mad that his... is better than mine. Outstanding desserts as well. Give this place a try, you will not be sorry. Read more

We wanted to enjoy a nice Eastern European dinner as a family our last day of vacation but upon being seated, things started... going immediately wrong when the owner (John) got upset with my in-laws wanting to order a meal for the two of them. We allrepeated their order 3 times and John chose not to place their dinner. My husband and I received our food and waited for over 15minutes for their dinner to arrive, only to find out that we were receiving a check just for our dinner. We asked why theirorder wasn't placed and John got extremely upset and rude, to the point where we needed to pay and leave. It was the worstdinning experience we've had and it damaged our overall experience in the city. Read more

Owner/Operator is a definitely distinct denizen. His mannerisms are foreign, yet I time and again fail to detect which land he... hails from. This is strange because usually I have a gift for identifying immigrant origins. Upon asking him directly, Ireceived a vague response that didn't lead anywhere. Also I think he lied to me about knowing Russian language. Anyway, I givethis place good rating because anything even remotely "European" in this part of USA is extremely welcome for me. In addition, the cherry strudel is the definition of killer. Coffee standard at first glance, but turns out to be pleasantly surprising. Read more

The paprikash here is amazing! The homemade bread Anna makes is unbelievably good and even better soaking up the paprikash... sauce. Such a nice lady and a wonderful restaurant. Definitely a hidden gem because all of the homemade baked goods arephenomenal! I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place Read more

When we first walked in, inside looks authentic Started off with salad which was decent (some of the lettuce was browning). Next... they brought out the bread was good. We ordered 4 different dishes. 1. Stuffed cabbage rolls- potatoes are instant mashedpotatoes, cabbage was undercooked. 2. Stuffed pepper - half of dish was cold, very blend. 3. Pork chops - reheated meat, verydry not fresh 4. German Sausage- the best of all 4, but was very plain. Just an honest opinion, would not recommend. Read more

We went last Sun and everything changed. The owner while trying to be nice is quite misogynistic. The cabbage rolls were crunchy... and had almost no meat. Everything else was just ok. Oh and owner was so busy talking he forgot our salads which came w themeal. Needless to say we will not be returning in the near future which makes me sad. I walked by Cafe Europa twice this morningand was compelled to go in and explore. The menu is quite interesting so I decided to order the German Breakfast which issupposed to be 2 eggs, German sausage (tasted like hillshire farms kielbasa), sausage links (mine had 2 patties) German potatoes(hashbrowns like they have at Dennys) and homemade bread. I also asked them to add what they offer on the "HealthyBreakfast"-tomatoes and asparagus. They had no asparagus but offered spinach an acceptable substitution. I was then intrigued bythe pastry case forcing me to order Berlin Squares (a kinda of chocolate torte with pie crust rather than cake layers) andFrench Cheese (a kind of phyllo dough cheese danish only not at all as sweet). I have photos of the above two. I will go again, but I was not entirely impressed. The youngster behind the counter was nice and accomodating though as was the cook which is whyI will go back.
