A lovely experience, really enjoyed all the lights on the patio at dusk. All our entrees were delicious, especially the eggplant... parm. Four different desserts were equally excellent. My wife and I absolutely love Jen's Guesthouse. We had our wedding reception a year ago and came back for our 1 year anniversary... and we were treated like family! Everytime we have been here the food, service, and atmosphere has been phenomenal. My wife and I travel to Chicago to visit our grandparents for the 4 of July weekend. The ambience was absolutely breathtaking... and the customer service was par none! The prime rib($41) and the rib eye($58) were thinner and smaller than I am used to. While they were crowded, we were... disappointed that our server forgot to bring out our salads and soups, ordered ala cart, prior to our meal. In fact, she forgotabout them completely. When remind she sincerely apologized . No big deal! As a result, we were able to finish all of our meals.Nice restaurant with outdoor dining and live music. Our family has had many enjoyable dining experiences here. In my opinion,slightly overpriced for what you get in comparison to other spots within 20 minutes. Please do not get the wrong impression, Iam being critical in my review. Jen's is definitely worth a visit. Many options on the menu, and very friendly service! Read more
