I really wanted to like this place after reading some of the better reviews but my first and probably last visit was not a very... pleasant experience. Went with a friend for lunch and hours were 11am - 9pm that day. We walked in and the place was completelyempty; no hostess or waitresses except for the owner (I'm guessing) who muttered something with an accent that lunch was over.We didn't quite understand what he meant since it was only 1:30pm. He told us to have a seat and brought us some water and thelunch menu anyhow. We ordered and a short time later and we could smell cigarette smoke but looked around and the owner was inthe back at the server's work station and it did not appear he or anyone else was smoking. It must have been seeping through thevents and was strong and unpleasant. When he brought us the bread and butter and our drinks we asked if someone was smoking andhe said "in the kitchen" and just quickly walked away dismissing it. We're like what, of all places in the kitchen where food isprepared and in violation of health ordinances!!! The owner brought us our food and another group of people came in for lunchand they were also waited on by the owner. After he took their order, I asked if we could have more water and he rudelymuttered, I'd have to wait! He finally brought more water and started to clear our table of dishes without even asking if wewere finished (which we weren't). He finally came back and brought the check. We sat talking for awhile and he kept looking tosee if our check was ready as if to rush us out. We did finally put our cash in the check folder along with a decent tip and lethim know it was ready. He took it and didn't even ask if we needed change! When we left, he did thank us for coming and we satoutside talking for awhile. As we were still talking outside, he exited the restaurant to leave and was smoking on the way outso it was most likely him that was smoking in the kitchen. Had the most delicious Rigatoni with Vodka sauce and my friend had delicious Chicken Lemone. The desserts were outstanding.... Homemade cheesecake and Tiramisu. I think I will stop by and pick up dessert for the weekend. Friendly staff and very goodservice. Try it .. you'll like it! Read more
Called this place to check to see what time they were open until. Let them know I would be there 15 min before they close. They... said they would wait for me. Ordered the potato gnocchi and it was the best I ever had. Bread was hot and amazing with deliciousgarlic butter. Teddy suggested I get the Filet special. It was unbelievably good. Practically melted in my mouth. The mushroom cream sauce was... flavorfully rich. I haven’t had a meal quite as good as the one I had last night. For desert we had a cappuccino withTiramisu… so good. Also lemoncello and the lemon sorbet. The sorbet was mighty refreshing. Went with my wife and our close friends for her birthday. From the road you wouldn’t expect what a quaint cozy place this is.... The decor and ambiance inside was a nice surprise, we really felt like we were having a family dinner together. Our server wasgreat and accommodating to our large party of 8. The bread and butter was very good. We loved the artichoke, stuffed mushrooms,and bruschetta appetizers. The clams were ok. My chicken Marsala was very good as well as my wife’s short rib pasta. Everyone else was equally as pleased with their food. They even gave my wife a desert with a candle so we could sing happybirthday. We will definitely be back to try more dishes! Read more
