Good place for beer and smoked meats. The beer selection is, oddly, not very good for a beer place. They dropped the Porters... and Stouts and other interesting brews In favor of a perfectly boring list of IPAs only slightly better than the localsupermarket. That's a new thing and hopefully non-IPA diversity returns before long. The food is average with some meats beingworth the trip. The new Wilmette outdoor seating is fantastic and the staff are friendly. I enjoy my time there and hope theyimprove the beer and food menus. Read more
We ordered the Big Earl, a large sampler of everything on the menu. Everything was excellent, but the pulled pork was... especially amazing. Great location in downtown Wilmette and pleasant surroundings. Really nice inside. On a side note, thewhisky selection is excellent! Read more
Great experience here! Had a very well crafted Manhattan - bourbon selection is excellent. The ribs, brisket and chicken were... all fantastic. Perfectly spiced and smoked. My favorite was the pork belly. The sauces are homemade and added greatflavor. Atmosphere is great...very relaxed. Highly Recommended. Read more
3.5 stars A warm and friendly, no-frills eating environment with a big wood bar, French half-windows overlooking the sidewalk... where a pleasant outdoor dining experience occurs. Well-placed, high quality televisions in the bar area. Service is decidedlylackluster. Food, while tasty, consistently is served lukewarm to cold. Great BBQ spot in Downtown Wilmette. We love their outdoor seating and also the bar top in the windowsill - great for lunch,... dinner or just your generic people watching. Their cocktails are decent, I have yet to try their beer. The bbq is pretty good -we usually get the Texas Two Step with pulled pork and brisket (I am a fan of their pulled pork), but today I had a pulled porksandwich. You MUST try their house bbq sauce. March 24th 2022 My friend took me here saying that he had one of the best briskets here.. today we both got chewy and cold... brisket slices that were hard to eat and just disgusting just fries were warm? so disappointed?. My stomach just hurts couplehours later so I strongly not recommend to eat in here? Couple hours later I barely made out to bathroom? Now 4 days March 28thlater I still can?t eat (everything get drained down so fast?) my stomach hurts so much and I got food poisoned from this placeI can?t sleep and eat? Got us into the Christmas spirit! Decorated so neat for Xmas. They don?t take reservations but we got there on an off time.... Service was slow because it was busy but staff so friendly. Lots of bbq food Read more
Must visit in December, the restaurant is decorated inside and outside. We had ribs and brisket, both were good.
