I have been wanting to try Sophia’s for a couple years now but never got around to it - until now. It was my birthday so... seemed like the perfect opportunity to splurge. I didn’t make a reservation because it’s Thursday - but they are so popularthey were full and we almost got turned away - but the lovely host and hostess somehow squeezed us in. We had mocktails tostart, and then a beautiful porterhouse steak and two sides: the cream spinach (amazing) and the Brussels sprouts (alsofantastic). We ordered the steak medium rare but it came out closer to rare. We didn’t mind it and the meat was tasty andjuicy. It came with two sauces as well, bernaise and the house sauce, both were great condiments to the steak. The service wasfriendly and professional. I’ll be happy to be back and try more of their cuts and menu items as well as their wine andcocktail list some day. Read more
Another great evening at Sophia Steak. Scott was our waiter and he was wonderful. The food was excellent as expected. the... appetizers, salads and steaks were all done perfectly. The Buck Russell chocolate cake was delicious also. We travel from DuPagecounty to Wilmette well, because Sophia Steak is just that good. Great wine list also. Thank you for a perfect evening. While looking for a good steakhouse in the northern suburbs we came across Sophia’s. Great 1st time experience. The service... was pleasant and timely. Atmosphere is good. But the best part was the food! We had picked the Porterhouse Steak and what agreat choice it was. Prepped exactly how we wanted it, we’ll seasoned with delicious choice of sides and sauces. Great staff. Decent steak. Amazing private events. We’ve been doing a lot of wine tasting events and they are a blast.
Delicious food, cocktails and a marvelous wine selection. Friendly staff. Comfortable and impressive experience overall.
My young sons and I went out for a fun dinner while mom was out of town for work. Susie our waitress was awesome and they did a... terrific job. Both my sons were super happy and had a great time. I enjoyed the shrimp cocktail and super green salad. Theoldest devoured the iron steak (his favorite cut) and my youngest enjoyed the chicken fingers. We will have to bring mom back. Read more

Sophia Steak House team creates almost a magical experience for their visitors. From the moment we were welcomed the first... question was what kind of experience are we looking for. In the rooms covered in dark and mysterious wood we enjoyed anattentive service, carefully prepared dishes and drinks. Greg was fantastic and allowed us to just relax and enjoy thiswonderful dinner.
