WOW. Amazing food! We ordered the raviolis and tortellini and shared. We were both stuffed by the end of the meal. The red sauce... and the white sauce (I forgot the name) were both incredible, so of course the blush was wonderful as well. I loved the handmaderaviolis. The atmosphere is kitschy and charming. Very cozy and intimate, yet fun. We chatted with the waitress, Doris, throughout the meal and had a great time and had some big laughs with her. We will be backany times! Thank you so much for theexcellent meal and great time! Read more

A Wilmington landmark. Wonderful cozy mix of eclectic decor and old school Italian cuisine. It?s like going to a family member?s... home for Sunday dinner. Luigi is the maestro in the kitchen and he is literally cooking for you? impossible to find thatanywhere else these days. Read more

Went to Luigi's for our wedding anniversary and it turned out to be exactly what we were looking for.... great italian music,... tasty food and with only 6 to 8 tables to serve...makes this place quite intimate and relax. As we walked in, we literallypassed next to the kitchen, where Chef Vitrone was kneading dough for the gnocchis that we had for dinner.... yup.. This is areal homemade italian food. Read more

The food was delicious. The owner greeted us at the door and we were seated right away. Our server was very nice and gave us... some history of the decor in the restaurant. Prices are more than reasonable for the portions you get. Definately will go back. Read more

Portions were generous but the food just wasn?t good. We ordered 2 apps and 2 entrees and had a couple bites of each and threw... the rest away. The meats in the antipasto weren?t fresh, the arancini had bleu cheese (what?!!), the sauce had large pieces ofonion, and while he may season it himself, it?s absolutely from a jar or can. If you call that homemade, then ok, but it?s nottruly homemade if it comes from a jar or can?even if it?s a jar of whole tomatoes. Read more

This place just feels like home! The first time I came I dined alone and immediately told Doris I have to bring my mother here.... This passed Saturday I was able to bring her and my uncle who was visiting and man did they LOVE it. Uncle Luigi and Doris areso friendly and you taste the love in the food and the service. This is a small restaurant, but it's got a great atmosphere and great food! The decorations around the place give it a lot of... character, plus it's been around for about 100 years! My family and I had to come here after seeing it featured on a rerun ofGuy Fieri's show. Had the veal marsala and also calamari as an appetizer, super delicious. Luigi and Doris are a pleasure, it'snot often you get to go to a restaurant where you're able to talk to the chef and owner! Ditch your average crummy pizzeria andcome here for some real, authentic Italian food! Read more
