Let me preface this review by saying that it was my first visit, and my choices were based on the simplicity of the dish, which... would allow the ingredient choices to shine. The Sushi: the Tuna Nigirizushi was very good. Well formed, generously cut, withthe right amount of Wasabi to balance the flavor of the Akami. The texture was not perfect, but given my visit on a Saturday itwould have been impossible to get their best work. Still enjoyable. The Udon: The Tempura Udon was also very good. The Tempurabatter was thicker than I expected, but not unpleasant. The noodles were perfectly chewy, the vegetables were fresh, and thedashi complimented the Tempura perfectly. The Service: I am not one that enjoys constant tableside chatter. The hostsrecognized that, and my three interactions with them were all done quickly following making eye contact. The food was quick tocome out after ordering, and my overall visit was very pleasant. This will become a regular addition to my weekend lunchoutings. Read more

Quaint atmosphere, delicious food, fast service. This was our first time here (dinner time on a week day) and we'll be back!... Parking was tight but we were able to get a spot out front (the last one). Very popular for people ordering take-out ordelivery. Read more

This has been our go-to sushi restaurant for over 10 years. We have accepted the price increases over time and even the fact... that when getting take-out with 2 or more sushi rolls and an appetizer or two we receive only one soup and one salad (wouldreceive two if eating in). Today, however, the very poor quality of the ONE salad and the tiny portion of the ONE soup, afterspending $31 on just two sushi rolls, has given us pause.... their sushi is not THAT amazing. Looks like it's time to exploreother sushi options in Wilmington. Read more

The food was so good I was unable to get pictures before everyone started eating. They offer traditional sushi rolls as well as... more modern ones. I recommend the mermaid roll. If sushi isn't your thing they offer Japanese and Korean food options. Seatingis limited and they close down for a few hours after lunch to prepare for dinner service so keep that in mind when planning atrip. Read more

When I arrived with a friend, we were the only ones in the restaurant. It took less than 30 minutes afterward for nearly every... table to be seated. Granted, it's a small restaurant but it became clear why the place is so popular. It has a very "home"feeling to it, the staff (if I'm right) seemed to be just a man, his wife, and his daughter. The food was good, I think it'sfair for the price and the taste was not lacking. The sushi on the nigiri was thick which I appreciate! I would definitelyrecommend it for a date night or with a party of 4 maximum! Read more

I'm unfamiliar with sushi choices so this was a new place for our family to visit. The food was delicious and everything was... well presented. The kids enjoyed everything they ate and want to make another trip back, very soon. When you first drive up, youdon't expect much for this quaint place but the meals were so good, it doesn't matter what the first impression was. Try it foryourself, the sushi was great. Read more
