When everyone in your party has a tasty meal at an affordable price, the drinks are cold, and the service is good (all the... employees were so nice!), what's not to like? It was dog friendly too. I was concerned about weather, but they do have "window"coverings so that if it rains (which it did), they can drop those down and you can stay dry. I was also concerned about gettingmotion sickness, but the barge is more or less bolted down, so I didn't feel any movement at all even when the storms rolledin. We had a great lunch experience here, and while it's definitely a tourist trap with sports bar food, it's a fun one andworth visiting! Read more
Could not understanding why the salt didn't have any rice in it. Couldn't shake the salt out of the salt shaker it was so wet... with moisture. The food was just horrible, drinks were ok but it was not anything that if I lived here in North Carolina that Iwould NOT go to again. My husband ordered buffalo shrimp as an appetizer requested that the blue cheese crumbles not be put onit. Well it was brought to the table with the crumbles, so we returned it. They were so chewy. They the "house chips" likepotato chips fried were very chewy also from the moisture, asked for cocktail sauce, no tartar well that didn't happen either.The crab cake I had was to say the least not good. Tons of great tropical frozen cocktails to choose from after a hot walk on the boardwalk. There is a great view of the Cape Fear... River here and plenty of shade. Food was good I loved the Philly cheese topped fries. Service was fast and atmosphere was nottoo loud so you could have a conversation without yelling. Read more
The food here was five stars. It wasn?t anything fancy but that?s exactly what I was looking for after a day spent at the beach... and exploring the area. I went around 5:30pm and it was surprisingly quiet, there were a few other groups, but it was just meand two other people seated along the wall overlooking the water. It?s obviously a unique setting being that it?s the onlyfloating restaurant in the area and that?s a great atmosphere for dinner or an evening out with friends. The pricing was greatfor the portion size. The pretzel was the largest one I had ever seen and even tasted great over the next two days as aleftover. The only reason I gave it four starts instead of five was for service. The woman at the front was incredibly friendlyand very quick to help but my waitress just left me feeling like a bother and would barely look me in the eye when I asked forsomething. I understand the stress everyone is dealing with right now and that people have bad days, but I did want to point outthat?s why my review is not five stars. I would return however, because it?s a unique place with a large enough menu that issure to have something for everyone. Read more
Absolutely amazing views right along Cape Fear River and even better food. The smoothies here are amazing - we had the Mango.... The Tropical Chicken Sandwich and the Grilled Cheese were also great. I like cheese curds but the fried versiom served here isnot something I am a fan of. Overall a great restaurant for anybody looking for a nice place in Wilmington. Read more
Ate at Anne Bonny's Bar and Grill after taking the sunset boat tour. We ate here after sunset and was still able to enjoy the... beautiful water view from surrounding lights. The service was amazing, the food came out quick, and it was delicious. My Husbandordered a Bloody Mary and it was so tasty. If I'm ever in this area again I will definitely be eating here again!
