My wife and I were on vacation several weeks ago at Wrightsville Beach. Brent's Bistro was recommended to us for a nice dinner... out. The place was small and cozy and the service was excellent. The food was delicious; one of the best meals we have ever hadat a restaurant. They change their menus every week. We had grouper and it was fantastic. The wine pour was very generous. Ourserver was very personable, knowledgeable, attentive, and had a great sense of humor. (Ask to have Sean be your server!) Theplace is casual so no need to dress up to go. When in the area, we highly recommend Brent's for a special meal out! It's not farfrom Wrightsville, just across the bridge on the Wilmington side. Read more

Friends recommended Brent's, and we were pleased with the results. Our appetizer was a cheese and cherry tomato dish soaked in... brandy with toasted pita points. It arrived with flames flickering across the top. I really liked how the brandy combined withthe dish to give a slightly bitter finishing flavor instead of the sweet that might be expected, but my wife would havepreferred a creamier cheese taste. My wife selected the the shrimp fra diavolo and a glass of Merlot: It was good, but not asspicy as she would prefer. I had duck with a glass of Reisling, and it was pretty good, but it didn't wow me. For dessert, mywife had the carrot cake, and was very pleased overall, but was a little dissatisfied with the raw shaved carrots on top. I wasextremely satisfied with the peanut butter chocolate cheesecake. It was creamy and decadent and the scattered peanuts were agreat texture component. I knew 3 things walking in tonight: I was really hungry. I craved a pan seared fish. And I wanted an Oregon Pinot noir. Mark... more than delivered on all of my expectations. The Caesar salad is a true example of how Caesar should be done: with the spiceof handmade dressing paired with the subtle sweetness of the cornbread croutons, topped with savory anchovies. The pan searedtilefish was perfectly cooked and complimented with a piccata sauce that was somehow buttery rich and bright and lemony at thesame time. I hadn't planned on leaving all of my plates bare, but it was impossible to stop until it was gone. Don't be afraidto trust your dish to the staff here; you won't be disappointed. Read more

We stopped in for my wife’s birthday dinner after an impromptu day on the beach. We received great service, great food, and... had a great time. I definitely recommend Brent’s for a special meal or any splurge just because! Read more

In all of our years coming to Wrightsville, this was a first time visit to Brent’s-def will not be the last! Great ambiance... and classy decor. Friendly staff greeted us and Sean (Shawn?) was our server. Excellent service all the way. Love the smallermenu that changes weekly and the food was excellent. Husband has the Asparagus Crab Soup & Spanish Grouper. I had the smallCaesar Salad and grilled Mahi-Mahi. Perfectly cooked and so delicious! Highly recommend!!! Read more

My top favorite restaurants in this town! Prime rib was last night’s special, this picture speaks for itself. Absolute... perfection! I also need to mention the bartender last night, he is Wonderful. I should have made a note of his name, myapologies. He’s always 10 steps ahead of his customers. Read more

Locals rave about this place. We wanted to see why and we were not disappointed. The staff was very intuitive and attentive;... that is so rare these days. The food was perfectly prepared and very delicious! This is a small venue and has an understateddecor. It is a mature crowd and the standard dress is more semi-formal than smart casual. The speed and attentiveness of thestaff and service was unbelievable. The food was special enough to warrant the costs. Read more

Came here for my dad’s birthday dinner. It was not crowded with it being a weeknight, but we did have a reservation. Our... server was Bart and he was great! The only complaint I have is that the bottle of wine we ordered was very cold, like it hadbeen in a refrigerator. We waited a while to drink it and ended up taking half a bottle home with us to drink it when it was notso cold. Overall the food was great, as a vegetarian I was satisfied with my meal.
