Vail spent millions upgrading the chairlifts and resort. Sure, the hill is small compared to out West. But it?s a great place to... learn to ski and pretty close to Chicago. Read more

Given the location of Wilmot mountain, I am reluctantly giving it a 4 star review. The actual experience was great, the staff... are friendly and the operation runs smoothly, but the mountain itself isn't something I'd call a mountain. If you are expectinglong runs, powder, and terrain, you will not find it here. However, if you are trying to get outside and make the best of a coldmidwestern winter, this is a great spot to spend a day! Read more

Great place to learn to ski. My kids enjoyed ski school which is around 120 a day, if youre an Epic pass holder. Where in most... Vail owned resorts ski school is double that and that doesnt include rentals or lift tickets where $120 everything was included. The mountain is small and I recommend packing a lunch as food options are lacking. My only issue with Wilmont is that no oneanswers the phone, I called for a solid week. Theres a little building as you pull into the parking lot that says stop here forski school, but its not actually the ski school. The school is the lone building to the left of the main entrance walkway. Read more

The staff here was super welcoming. On separate occasions in separate locations I had really great service experiences. It's a... little intimidating if your new because there's not so much direction but just ask and they got you. Read more

First time going tubing and it was a blast! The slopes are incredibly fast, my friends and I were definitely scared the first... time we went down. They have a lot of lanes open and lanes for kids as well. They had to close half the lanes the day we wentbecause it was too icy and they didn't want to risk people crashing into each other. They had an outside food/drink stand.Nothing inside the building except gift shop and bathrooms. Read more

It was our first time and I will say, it was a good my kids had a good time, but.... 1) The entire cafeteria is Restricted to... vaccinated guest only. I would recommend the visit, it was fun and a great experience for the kids, but eat before arrival ifyour not vaccinated. Buy your tickets online saves you money but they do also charge for rentals you don't want to waste moneyand make sure to arrive early and have patience if your using rentals. The rental place is small and packed Read more

It was our family's first visit and I will say, it was a good experience and our kids had a good time, there are a few Important... things to factor in. 1) The entire cafeteria is Restricted to vaccinated guest only. We had plans to eat at the facility and wewere denied access after not being able to provide a vaccine card due to our religious beliefs. ???? We couldn't stay longbecause our kids got hungry and we had to leave to go get some food which was disappointing. 2)The website allows you to buytickets for the lift ,but It does not state that their rental fee for ski's is an additional $50 per person. I have a family of7, so we spent over $300 online booking for the lift and then another unexpected $350 after we arrived. It could be betterexplained on the website. 3) It's not visitor friendly for first timers. We were so confused on where to go for check-in, thento get through the lines for paperwork, rentals, ect. It was over 1hr. There's no one to really ask questions to or even getdirections. It was very overwhelming to figure out on your own. I would recommend the visit, it was fun and a great experiencefor the kids, but eat before arrival if your not vaccinated. Buy your tickets when you get to the facility so you don't wastemoney and make sure to arrive early and have patience if your using rentals. They also don't have sticks to rent with the ski's,so if your a beginner, bring your own. Read more
