The shrimp platters were soggy grease, including the shrimp, onion rings and French fries. The toast was totally one-sided; as... plain as bread can be on one side. This scenario was very unlike what we normally experience. The food is usually very good. I?mhoping this was just an untrained cook. It was actually awful! Normally I would bring it to the attention of the cook but didnot want to spoil the occasion. We were celebrating one of the kids? accomplishments. I hope this is corrected; Hwy 55 is afavorite!! Not only was the food delicious, my husband received a very generous portion of meat on his cheesesteak and the pimento... cheeseburger I had, with all the fixings, was AHH-mazing! Service was great and a big kudos to Craig, who cooked our food andmade sure everything was perfect!! Read more

By far the best cheesesteak I've had in 20 years. The people working here know how to do it right. Ask for a toasted bun as well... and you will not be disappointed. I also did half fries half tots and that was perfect for sharing. Read more

Cheesesteak is only partially filled and it's bland. They have skimped to save money compared to before and now you don't get... your money's worth. It's a rip off. You use to get a cheesesteak that was so full that you couldn't pick it up you had to eat itwith a fork. The bread is also smaller and not as tasty. 06/07/22 It's been a while since I last ate at Hwy 55 burgers (~4 yrs). Their burgers are good but not really memorable. I had... the pimento cheeseburger, and the pimento was not it. It tasted like nothing but watery mayo. My brother ordered the cheesesteakwith no onions but our waitress must've forgotten or not heard him. He still ate it since he didn't want to wait another 15 minsfor his food. Not my favorite burger place but it's not the worst in Wilson. Would rather eat here than Hardee's or Burger Kingbut alas there are some really good burger places such as the Ruckus, Best n Burgers that, imo, are better. Read more
