I grew up coming here. The vibe feels like you are in the 1950s. Authentic barbecue. If you?re not familiar with North Carolina... barbecue, it?s very vinegary, so just beware if that?s not something you?re use to. I personally find it absolutely delicious.Their fried chicken is amazing and so juicy. Good portions, cheap prices. And just to be wear you cannot pay with any sort ofdebit or credit card. I?m being nice with this 2 star rating! Please excuse the hype! This place might be crowded but the food is terrible. No... seasoning AT ALL from the fried fish to the green beans. The ONLY thing with flavor was the NASTY cold slaw that tastes likepure VINEGAR & MUSTARD ???? I?m completely disappointed and it saddens me to write this but the people MUST KNOW! I plan to never eat here. Look closely at my photos. There are trays of chicken setting out with the bugs flying around the... restaurant. It was a painful experience. Most definitely health code violations. A friend asked me to stop to pick him up somebarbecue. The bathrooms were horrible. Read more

Parker?s is well worth the short drive off I-95. Just true classic eastern, North Carolina barbecue.Parker?s coleslaw reminds me... of Bob Meltons Cole Slaw . The Hush Puppies are fresh and Hot or try the Corn Sticks . Fall reminds me of Parker?s FreshBrunswick stew it?s a meal in its self.
