Right next to the Whirligig Park in the arts district of Wilson?a clean and professional establishment with a well mannered,... friendly, attentive, and conversational staff. You feel immediately respected by the smiling and alert hosts and staff. While Ididn?t have a burger, the two guests with me did and claimed both were solid and flavorful table-fare. I did sample their loadedtots and a couple fries which were hypnotically well seasoned and tasty. The area has tremendous potential and thisestablishment unquestionably sets a standard of operation which is good for the future with reasonable prices on qualityeats. Great food , good service, cool atmosphere! They have some great mixed drinks and killer burgers! Not to mention the creation... of delicious appetizers! We had loaded tater tots in fried Brussel sprouts oh my goodness unbelievably delicious!!!! We usuallyhave great service here unfortunately our last visit our server was a bit slow but overall our experience was good. This isdefinitely one of our favorite places to eat in downtown Wilson. We were in the area the other day and stopped in. We were seated quickly and service was fast. It was the two year anniversary... of the restaurant, so we got 2 free margaritas apiece!! The margaritas were hand made, no pre mixed stuff. The food wasdelicious, fries tasted as if they had a tad bit of brown sugar on them which was delicious. My only complaint is I ordered myburger medium rare and it was closer to medium well/ well done. Even though the burger wasn?t cooked as ordered it was stilljuicy and delicious hence the 5 stars. Nice business serving different hamburgers that were thick, juicy and hot. The tater tots were golden brown. Excellent... customer service and not crowded while visiting the whirligigs within walking distance. A very good overall experience inWilson. Just gotta love the whatever room. Read more
***Long POSITIVE review*** We usually try to reserve leaving reviews until we?ve been to a place at least 2-3 times to be as... fair as possible (we know everyone has bad days). We?ve been to Ruckus at least 6-7 times now and it had been great each timeminus one. The ?one off? day was when we decided to sit outside on a nice day. We had to fight 10 different flies for our foodand drinks the entire time. HOWEVER, everyone has a ?one off? day and that was the only one. Our only suggestion is to maybehave a couple outdoor fans set up to help blow away flies? Not sure but that was what we came up with while our fight ensuedwith the winged beasts. The food and drinks here are always on point and absolutely delicious. We?ve brought our friends andfamily here and they?ve all enjoyed it as well. It?s a little hidden gem in Wilson that should be more known. The staff havebeen friendly and prompt as well as professional and this has become our new random date night place. On a day trip with my daughter in the downtown area. This restaurant is walking distance from train and bus stations. Lots of... local artists and locals businesses within walking distance. You can see whirly museum from the restaurant. The food isfantastic! I ordered the patty melt with the beyond burger option and my daughter got the same only with beef. Our food wasfabulous and on point. We also ordered the Brussels sprouts. Let me tell you the Brussels sprouts are melt in your mouth. Wegot drinks re the waiters suggestion. From walking in the door to leaving our dining experience, this was a definite gem of afind on our day trip. If you're in the area or on a train layover, like we I highly recommend giving them a try.
