Came in for lunch, want to treat myself to a nice dinner besides Burger King, McDonald?s ordered chicken seem like it was... microwaved for just a couple minutes was really chewy with barbecue sauce poured all over it. Our waiter "Bagel" (nickname) was very good. He was attentive without ever hovering and I never got to the bottom of a glass... before another was set down. He did exactly what he was expected to do at exactly the right time. No more, no less... which iswhat I want. The garlic-parm bites as an appetizer had way too much butter/oil as a coating so would not recommend but thewings themselves were great; I just wish I ordered in a different flavor. I would try Asian/buffalo next time I think. Burgeras the entree was average (which kinda means a let down doesn't it?) though the bun was buttered and grilled making it crispywhich is good. I think applebee's, unless I missed it, could benefit from having a special burger sauce. Even just a spicyketchup option. Fries also are maybe unique in their cut but not anything more than average and no tasty seasoning. Applebee'scould easily improve their menu with some better spices/sauces and if they already exist, then some better education to thecustomer. The atmosphere was fine but not a whole lot of patrons for dinner hour and time of year (early fall,weekday). Prices are reasonable. I normally head here for date night with my ball and chain. Lol it's location is convenient for us living where we are. The... service has always been great and food as well. We were there for a late lunch the a little more than a week Ago when my father in law passed. And my daughter in law found a... fly in the bottom of her meal when transferring to a carry out container. Of course she then did not want it. So awful. All thebartender did was apologize.
