Fantastic place! An absolute gem! The owners, husband and wife were very friendly and outgoing. The sashimi was absolutely fresh... and the portions were large! The sushi, rolls were also Fantastic! Took our 18 month old out for his first dining experience. I chose Awabi partly because reviews said it was family friendly and... that could have not been more true. The staff and their son immediately came out to greet us and our child. They also showed himthe arcade game inside and he loved pressing the buttons. They treated him like he was another person eating there and evenbrought him his own Miso soup with some ice to cool it down. The sushi was also very good and we enjoyed the saki. Great restaurant specializing in fresh sushi, they do have many other delicious options as well. The staff here is very friendly... and service was quick. Most sushi options have a slight twist with unique ingredients and flavor profile which sets it apartfrom other places in the area. The miso soup was outstanding and just the right size bowl. The beach house roll came with abutter garlic sauce for dipping which was a good alternative to soy sauce. Overall was very pleased with my visit, cost was abit high but you are getting what you pay for with the quality, will continue to visit! Read more

Awabi is the BEST sushi in town. Ive been frequenting this place for years. The quality of the food is nothing short of... excellent. The presentation is superb, and the service is friendly, inviting and of the utmost professionalism. Marcus and Emmatreat you like family. The decor is authentic and you never feel rushed. And employees and owners greet you with a smile and arehappy to field questions about menu suggestions. I was saddened when I heard they had temporarily shut down during Covid.However, it warms my heart to see this business and family thriving again. If you don't already know about this gem on theWalking Mall in Winchester, do yourself a favor and go. Everything from the fan favorite Loudoun Street Roll down to coffee isperfect. Youcan't beat the customer service that helps new parents with entertainment for the baby or toddler with crayons and proactiveoffering of a high chair. There wasn't any weird pressure related to discussing dietary restrictions (if you know someone who isceliac, they'll know what I mean.
