A hidden gem. Prices were good and food was excellent. Got the shrimp and steak tips. The shrimp was amazing and very large. The... tips were also good but very very small, bite size! They were maybe 1" diameter, I am assuming that it was late in the night andI got what was left in the bottom of the container. Probably will try again to see if this is the norm. Read more
We visited for a Friday dinner, and were pleasantly surprised by fantastic service, great food, and nice people to chat with. ... We sat at the bar as there was a 25 minute wait for a table, and so glad we did. Our bartender Sean was phenomenal! Can't waituntil they come to Derry, we'll be regular visitors. Read more
Red?s Friendly Tavern is anything but! Our take out experience was horrible. A Staff member from the Kitchen were hostile and... rude when asked a simple question as she walked by me. I just asked where to pick up take out?? The response was profanity?when my order was ready , it wrong and missing food. My fault in some part for not checking it before I left the restaurant????????? When I called to get a credit returned to my charge card, the employee was kind and sympathetic but no refund yetwhile the initial charge was instantaneous. I work in the service industry. It is hard out there but if you can?t provide aservice well, don?t offer it!! Read more
We stood at the hostess area for awhile until we were acknowledged. The waitstaff does not smile and does the bare minimum. The... bathrooms were gross and atmosphere is very loud. I have celiacs disease and ordered a GF cheese burger and side of mac &cheese. The burger was cooked great! However, they have the worst GF mac & cheese !! I do not recommend it. We used friendly Red's catering service for our wedding this past weekend. Everything was amazing. Our guests couldn't get over... how good the food was. Several people told us it was "the best wedding food" they've had. We did buffet service, which sometimesmakes me worry the food will be dry in the chaffing dishes. It was not! Food was great. The meatball app was good but our lunches were even better. My husband had the steak tips on focaccia and I had... chicken asian salad. The salad had a little too much dressing so I would probably ask for it on the side next time but besidesthat, it was all fantastic. Read more
