There are so many Caribbean restaurants around this area and I stopped to get food at lilllys .. actually from outside it looked... a very good restaurant . Inside was good too. Few tables to sit and eat . It was like a buffet menu inside and you can orderwhat you like . I had rice and some chicken curry with a veggie . I thought it would be around 10-15$ , but was quite expensive. They charged me about 25-30$ ! Very very expensive ! Food tasted ok , but for this money , It?s not worth . Will not go backagain . I got there around 12:30pm on Sunday,I felt like soul food, just to find out they don't start serving until 1pm but there was... already a line so I figured the food was good, so I waited too everything looked so good, but I got my favorite fried Chicken,candy yams, dressing, and a side of collard greens and I topped it off with a piece of coconut pound cake, don't judge me I washungry, the customer service was good, the girls were very nice the only thing that I can complain about is the price man I didnot imagine spending 32$on that one meal but I guess to some people it's worth it! it was good I enjoyed the meal but to me, awoman who like to spend money wisely, it wasn't worth $32 that's a buffet price, that's what I spend at Golden corral everyother weekend,well less than that,if money is not a issue for you,it's a good look,but if you're like me,and you like to seeyour money's worth,this place is not for you Read more

When I 1st arrived in CT a few years ago, Lilly?s was my go to soul food location. Recently, it?s food and customer service has... gone down the drain. During my recent trip, my interaction with the hostess was good. But the people serving the food wereextremely cold and seemed unhappy the entire time. I got the honey roasted chicken, Mac and cheese, and the green beans dinner.With a side of banana pudding, it came out to 25 dollars. That seems a bite pricey for food that?s been sitting on the line.When I was leaving, the food was basically shoved in my hands out the door. The food wasn?t great, extremely different then Iremembered. The chicken and green beans were ok but the Mac was super runny. Previously, it was the best thing on the menu. I meet my sister for lunch. We decide on a halfway mark between Boston and New York. I stumbled across this gem on Google... maps. I wasn't disappointed. The food is fantastic. The food was seasoned perfectly. The restaurant was super clean. The counterhelp was a little rough with no personality. The food and Sheila B the dining help was everything. The pork chops were sotender and seasoned with flavorful gravy. The mac and cheese was bomb ????, the honey-glazed chicken was delicious. I orderalmost everything on the menu. I came in for the first time yesterday and let me tell you that?s what I call Great service! The nice lady that helped me guided... me to get me what I wanted and her and another girl told me the best dessert was the banana cream pie and they wasn?t lying!!Yams were so good loved the whole plate!
