Ordering popcorn shrimp from this location has been and still is a disappointment. The shrimp are dried out, hard and old and... they have the audacity to tell you there fresh. Refrying old shrimp does not make it fresh, and it is so obvious that this iswhat they do. I've been complaining about this issue at this location for years now and there has been no improvement. When theshrimp expire throw them out, and fry new ones and when those expire throw them out too, stop trying to reduce waste by servingcustomers old expired food. I live in Windsor I shouldn't have to drive to the Popeyes on Flatbush Ave to order shrimp which iswhat I've been doing and never had an issue with. Today I didn't have a choice but to come to your store which I regret, becauseI had to drive back there to complain and return my order and get chicken instead. Even if I'm standing in the restaurant theywould still give me old shrimp and try to tell me it's fresh, which they have done before. Where to start? This was our first time eating at a PopEye?s. Decided to try it because I had picked up a friend from the... airport nearby. 1. Outside lights off making it look like they were closed 2. The man taking our order (2 of us, identicalorder) definitely needed more register training. He had to have the order ?over rided? 4 times to get it right. 3.Deliveredthe wrong drinks to the counter. 4. One meal was completely wrong. 5. The back kitchen area was a mess. Food on the floor and ahuge puddle of water. The only good thing was that the dining room looked clean. I called the next day because both myself andmy friend woke up with awful nausea and the nastiest diarrhea. We both felt sick for most of the following day. The lady whoanswered the phone, claims to be a district manager or a GM? she said she could refund the purchase by check or Apple Pay, buthad to check with another manger out on vacation. 3 days later, she?s telling me only a gift card. Food was hot and tasty. In other parts of the country Popeyes has a season packet called Cajun sparkle. This location didn't... have it but it would have been the perfect compliment to the meal. Read more
I ordered the hushpuppy butterfly shrimp combo at the drive-thru and got chicken nuggets instead??? Tasted Ok but that's not... what I ordered and I probably paid more than I should have. So, check your order before you leave the window. I tried to callthem but the phone number on the receipt is out of order, and it's the same number that's posted on the website. Honestly it wasn?t the girl who handed me my food it was the young girl who took the order. If you don?t want to have basic... manners and you hate your job and can?t give good customer service just quit. This place always has workers with bad attitudeswhich makes people want to give there hard earned money to a a different Popeyes. Read more
Hi This was at the Windsor Popeyes that's in for review. The young lady in the drive thru was very nice. The food I'll never... understand why people eat . The chicken sandwich had more breading than actual chicken. The bun only had two mayonnaise spots.Now I realize these sandwich places only do two- three pickles but only two mayonnaise spot, not spread it just a drop and adrop On to the Mac and cheese that taste like velveda. I'm not sure what other people expect to get at these chicken places Ijust figure a business would want better food quality regardless of what type of business they're running. The nuggets were tohard for my four year old to eat. They must of been the burnt bits on the bottom. Why would anyone think anyone should eat thenasty hard bits that are on the bottom of the fryer is beyond me. Great service terrible food.???? For the 3rd time they got my order incorrect going through the drive thru. On the receipt it shows exactly what II ordered but... when you get home it's a completely different name. Nothing that was on the receipt except for the soda was correct . Called The store and the young woman answered and seemed annoyed that I bothered her with my issue and said come back. Went backthrough the drive-through and she seemed annoyed again that I bothered her to come back to correct the order. So I asked herwhat is the issue cause you seem like you have an attitude because you got my order incorrect but her incorrect and she said Idon't have a issue but her attitude in her demeanor gave me that impression that she was bothered that I was disturbing themonce again Read more
