Probably my favourite spot in all of Windsor. The place has a great vibe and outgoing, fun staff. But let’s be real - the most... important parts are the food and drinks in which they are KILLING it. My fiancé and I have gone multiple times for date night,double date night and family night. I think I’ve suggested this restaurant to about every person I know. This spot is unlikeanything else in our town and that’s a great thing. I’d say we’ve tried almost every item on the menu - including drinksand were never disappointed- more so, we May even LOVE 95% of what we try. Side note * yes, portions are small BUT the food anddrinks and ambiance is just so great that even though the bill adds up I think people would be thrilled to spend that money(unless they’re not foodies like myself). I've been looking for a good poke bowl since I came back from my Hawaii trip several months ago, and I finally found one I enjoy... in Windsor at Funky Chow Kitchen! From what I tried in Windsor, other places have a very small amount of tuna compared to theportion of veggies&rice and/or the sauce was not very tasty, but the poke bowl here was made just right! I love the vibe heretoo! Reason for removing 1 star is it was quite pricey for the portion size I received. I don't have a big appetite, but stillfelt hungry after a $24 poke bowl. Also I was with 2 friends and we received our foods at completely different times. I assumethis was because this place is more of a bar to grab drinks + shareable snacks rather than a formal sit down restaurant, howeverfor the prices they charge I would expect them to be mindful of these details. Loved my experience at Funky Chow! I do recommend going with 4 people. It's a great way to try out most of their food since it's... a tapas style! Food came out really fast and the service was amazing. Really great atmosphere all around! I almost loved all thefood lol, we did mention to our server Jake that the Dan Dan noodles was really salty and since we didn't really eat it, thenoodle was taken out of our bill. If your someone that loves food like me, this is the place to visit! Highly recommend for thenext date night. Read more
First of all let me just say, WOW! ???? The food and drink menu blew our socks off. Our waitress was incredibly sweet. This is... the perfect atmosphere for a fun date night. Really enjoyed our first experience at the funky chow restaurant. Benjamin our server was great. He was friendly, knowledgeable... and funny. The vibe in the restaurant was cool and the artwork was amazing. A great addition to the walkerville area a must try!The cocktails were all creative and tasty. The food was outstanding and unique. I could not have been more pleased with my experience here. The funky chow staff were friendly and beyond accommodating. We... ordered the Dan Dan noodles, all 3 boa buns , Brussels sprouts and all 3 rice balls. Everything we ate was incredible. Thecocktails were delicious ???? I can’t wait to go back !! Read more
