Eh I want to love this place but was really turned off tonight. It says the bar closes at 11 online. We went down from our room... at 10:30 and the bartender Matt was clearly annoyed. There were five of us and each ordered an bottle of beer and a shot,nothing fancy or hard to make. EVERY bottle was slammed on the bar when it was given to us. I get he's closing soon but #1 assomeone who's in the service industry, you don't let people know that you're annoyed when they walk in and it was very evidentthat he was not happy to see us there and was even talking about us to his buddy that was sitting on the other side of the bar.#2 he could have simply said hey guys I'm closing (even though it was a lot earlier than it said online). We were made to feelso uncomfortable that we were back up in our rooms by 10:40. Bar is beautiful and menu is great tho. Been other times andusually enjoy it. Read more

Delicious take out dinner! After a very long day of travel, I was extremely hungry and tired. I was a guest at the... Doubletree Hotel and wanted to grab take out and dine in the privacy of my guestroom. Never having visited this hotel nor it'srestaurant I wasn't sure what my experience would be. However, not only was the Shade Bar and Grill convenient, my dinner wasdelicious, served fresh and hot! I ordered the Cheeseburger and fries, perfect meal after a long day. My burger was huge,cooked perfectly. It was served with a side of large steak fries. My server was very polite and efficient, making sure I hadall the necessary condiments. From my quick glance, the menu had many items to consider and was reasonably priced. Although Ididn't dine in the restaurant, my brief observation was a very pleasant, laid-back atmosphere. In fact, if I return to thehotel in the future, I will most certainly consider dining in the restaurant. Fantastic dinner and experience! Read more
Very convenient having a restaurant in the hotel if you want to grab a quick bite or stop at the bar. The staff were friendly,... the prices were moderate which is expected from hotel restaurants, and the food was alright. Read more
We were told misinformation today on CHRISTMAS of all days that the bar was buy one drink, get one app for free. We get to the... bar and get charged. Though is was misinformation from the front desk of the hotel, the restaurant general manager, Delroyrefused to honor what we were told and sent me back to the front desk for further assistance when in all honesty, he could havetaken responsibility at the establishment he manages. I think the bar was nicely decorated, however the food quality has room for improvement vegetables were not cooked and steak was... low quality and cooked wrong and its very over priced. Our waiter was clumsy and not engaged with us. Overall, underwhelming. Read more
Good service and convenient in the hotel. Food is decent, but seems low for the standard I would expect from DoubleTree. Bar is... open late and the staff is generally attentive and helpful. Would suggest an upgrade to the food quality and menu. Read more
