We just recently started dining out at Caliendo's and we've been very impressed so far. The bar pizza is really good and very... reasonably priced. They have an excellent menu with lots of variety, with an emphasis on Italian dishes. The meatballs arereally good (by themselves or on a sandwich! ), decent pasta, and very good panini's! But I am obsessed with their anti-pasta;it's excellent! I recommend getting it as a side whenever possible. Read more
We stopped in here for a quick lunch. We sat on the bar side at a table. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The menu... was huge.We ordered the Spicy Beef and the Godmother sandwiches. Both were really good. My fiancé got the fries as his side.Fresh cut fries are always the best. I got the pasta salad which I love as an option and it was really good too. Is it an italian restaurant, diner, bar, pizza place, or ice cream shop? Yes! It is all of these, and it has separate entrances... and walls dividing each. As a restaurant and diner, the pasta dishes we had were excellent. Very tasty and well paired withtheir sauces. The bread loaf provided was soft, hot, and had the perfect amount of butter and garlic on top. It is a great tableloaf to share with your family. The patty melt I ordered medium but came out very well done but did have a nice grilled flavor,and just as a preference, the onions could have been sautéed either a little longer to better soften OR a little less to keep acrispness - these were right in between which left them right at that rubbery phase. However it's ingredients were spot on for agood combination of flavor. The personal kid cheese pizza is my only reference of their pizza - it was very good and I imaginetheir typical larger versions would likely be better. I would like to return and try a chicago favorite pizza to confirm, as myincling is that it is likely great. The bar is a good size, looks comfortable and well arranged for sports viewing and socialoutings, and they had quite a crowd for a Sunday afternoon; i also noticed they are a Chicago Blackhawks bar. Lunch for first time today. Only 1 server, Michael. He did a fine job however they charge for drink refills full price. This is... a horrible decision. The diet Pepsi has an odd flavor(not good). We ordered a 12" pizza and got a deep dish(not ordered). Greatflavor on all the food. Pasta, pizza, meatballs all good. Michael needed help even kitchen staff (which was a lot) could havehelped out serving. Anyway, good tasting food and large portions. Read more
Absolutely amazing food such big portions this place is filled with tv screens with the latest sports, pooltables ,darts,... outdoor seating the have lotto you can play aswell came in for quick Appetizer I had THE FAMILIA COMBO and omg was delicious mywaitress was absolutely amazing She did such a awsome job holding down the whole place on her waiting on ppl outside inside atthe bar Dawn M. I ordered the daily special, giambotta-sausage and peppers with potatoes, it was delicious!! The waitress brought me some bread... to soak up the olive oil and spices. I will be back to try something else off the extensive menu... Read more
They have a large menu and the waitress said the pizza is really good. So my friend and I each ordered a pizza and it was so... good cracker crust thin crust flavorful simple sauce and plenty of cheese and ingredients. Service was outstanding I wouldhighly recommend this place and especially the pizza ???? Read more
