We had already eaten so we went in just for a beer. We both had Fred's lager and it was good. The table was extremely sticky... even after our server had wiped it really well in front of us. I'd love to go back for food next time. Read more
First time here, we live in Evanston. The reviews regarding food were great (service, not so much) so decided to give it a try.... Sydney was AWESOME. She was friendly, really helpful making great recommendations and just lovely to be around! That initself was great! The food was really good too. My husband had the rib eye cheese steak and I had the Salmon burger. We bothloved our dishes. I didn’t finish mine and had to order some extra slaw to have with my leftovers. Oh yea, the cheese curdswere yummy. Seemed like every table was starting off with those. So glad we gave Fred’s Garage a try. We will be back andhope to see Sidney! :) Read more
Fred’s Garage is a great stop with a fantastic outdoor patio and a fun interior design. The food is really good - we had the... salmon burger, the griddle burger (very tasty!!) and the sweet Chili chicken tenders. Everything was really good. The reason forthe 4 stars is the quality of the service - our waiter was a tad bit inattentive and not the friendliest, but he got the jobdone. The place was packed on a Monday night so the staff did have their plates full (pun!). Will definitely be back for thegreat food and atmosphere! Read more
Nice patio but that's about it. Was there for lunch so it was not busy, seated out the table was sticky, it seam it was not... washed in sometime. Service beas slow at best, totally ignored me. Order the Salmon, was ok, the avocado and cherry tomatoes wasok, the Salmon was over cooked and not seasoned well. Sorry but I can't give this place more the 2 stars. Read more

Very nice outdoor seating, fun themed for Halloween time. Had the Chicken salad sandwich, perfectly toasted and large portion... (took 1/2 home). Will go to again. Read more
Had lunch there twice in one week. Nice patio area with plenty of shaded seating. Had chicken salad sandwich and southwest salad... with shrimp. Both good. Was with 5 other people and they all liked their food. Eclectic decor. Parked in lot to the north acrossthe street. Parking can be a challenge since the area is popular. Read more
We eight dined lightly late on Sunday. Staff was great, food was fine. As we ate on the large patio I didn't notice the... decor. Like many places today the food runners have no info which entree goes where; the whole table's chatting must end severaltimes as the NEXT bearer 'auctions off' what they are schlepping, besides having no clue if it's the item of two withoutonions...or not.
