Tacos looked like they were scraped off of the floor and wrapped in foil. Chips tasted like they came from a bag. Save yourself... the $$. Read more

food is always fresh and delicious. service is always friendly and quick. As a realtor in the northshore, this place is a go to... for lunch and dinner with clients. So conveniently located in the laundry building which also has starbucks and my office! Read more

Great addition to Winnetka, fair prices, great food, wonderful staff. The chicken tortilla soup has ruined my ability to order... it at other places, best $4 you'll spend in the area. Read more

Stopped in for a quick bite. My wife has a fish and veggie taco and I had a steak torta. The food was excellent and the options... were good. We sat outside and that is when we noticed that they had LaCroix which we did not notice. I went in to purchase acouple and was told they had a five dollar minimum for a credit card purchase and I had no cash. I pointed out that I just madea purchase and even pointed out that I gave e a 25% tip. They still refused. The food was excellent so I'll definitely go backbut I'll make sure to also bring some cash. Average. I was excited to try la Taquiza as it has good reviews and is in an affluent area of Chicago. But it wasn't enjoyable.... The menu was average. The meat was delicious and flavorful. However, the tortillas were tough and poor quality (a standard issuein Chicago) and I had to take the cilantro and onion from my tacos because it was not fresh! I tried the red salsa, and it wasgood but nothing different. La taquiza had all the Mexican soft drinks like coca-cola and jarritos. It also had specials forevery day of the week. But nothing wow to make me come back. Suggestion: use ?Mi Rancho? tortillas. The best quality I found sofar, or better yet, make the tortillas from scratch, no maseca. Read more
