This morning I brought my brother from out of town for breakfast at Baba Kay's and it was disheartening to say the least. In... spite of the fact that our server didn't bother to bring a menu to the table she immediately flipped open her pad and wanted totake our order. A neighbouring patron kindly handed us his menu and our server looked surpised and insulted that we needed aminute to peruse the menu. She kept standing there expectantly with her open pad, a questioning expression on her face. Imentioned we would need a minute to examine the menu. She seemed confused by my response and slunk back into the kitchen whichwas blaring with heavy metal music. There was no music in the very dimly lit dining area. That was fine. We were able to hearthe Megadeath screeching in the kitchen. 10 minutes later, she schlepped back and with a surly expression, she took our orders. My brother ordered the Hangover Omellete and I selected the Ukrainian Skillet. A few minutes later she returned to ask what kindof toast we wanted. She might have thought about asking that earlier. She eventually returned with the food and placed itunceremoniously before us. My order was satisfactory, but my brother showed me the delectable seasoning on his omelette - twoblack eyelashes and canned mushrooms. When it was time to pay, I was presented with the debit machine facing inwards. Mostconvenient. The bill was $28 and I left a $3.00 gratuity. She deserved nothing, but a poor tip is better than no tip. The teamon today were absolutely unprofessional and the management better clean up the act of their staff. By the way, if you're goingto use margarine on your toast I suggest serving the toast hot so the margarine spread melts. This is usually preferable tobeing caked on cold, sitting like icebergs on top of rock hard toast. Read more

Not to happy with my take out order. My order was pancakes with no whip topping just the strawberries. What I got was soggy... pancakes that were drenched with the strawberry topping which was very watery and whip which I asked not be included. They wereout of the belgian waffle which is why the strawberry topping. Next time I should check my order before paying my bill. Read more

Everything is less than $12 before tax. Big breakfast was tasty, enjoyed the perogies instead of hash browns/potatoes. Will have... to come back for lunch and try the clubhouse. Server was friendly and helpful. Beverages are self-serve at the counter. Read more
