Belissimo is my favorite pasta spot in Winnipeg. Highly recommend all the pastas. The Brie and Mussels are my go to appetizers.

First time coming here from all the suggestions I got, and I can definitely see why. The food was incredible. I ordered the... Gnocci and my boyfriend ordered the Lasagna. The gnocci was absolutely amazing, very soft and the marsala cream sauce went sowell with it. Be prepared though, they cook the Lasagna fresh so you will be waiting approx 40-45 mins but believe me when itell you ITS WORTH IT. Order one of their amazing appetizers while you wait. Staff is very good/attentive. The pasta is consistently quite good. The pizzas, however, are just okay. I recently tried 2 of... their gourmet pizzas(Hot Honey and Bianco). The Hot Honey was the stand out flavorwise. However, the dough/crust did not scream"gourmet" to me. Closer to a premade pizza shell than a housemade/hand tossed crust(although I'm not saying this is thecase...just not exactly what I'm looking for in a gourmet crust). If there was a pizza fight between Bellissimo and Rae'sBistro then it would be a first round knockout by the reigning champ(according to me) Sugar Rae Bistro with their sourdoughcrust and outside the box toppings. We had a reservation for a large table and was told that we had a time limit. This would've been fine except for the fact that... it took the server a while to take our orders (although the restaurant was not busy) and we ended up being rushed out therestaurant. Finally got around to dining here! The food, the ambience, the service, everything was amazing! For the antipasto, the baked... brie was top notch! And my personal favourite for the entrée has to be the Agnello, which was cooked to such perfection thatthe meat just fell off the bone. Definitely going back for more! Read more

Our experience at Bellissimo was amazing! We were traveling through Winnipeg on our way to Ontario and stopped in for dinner.... Jennifer, our server, was professional, friendly and attentive. She made us feel like valued customers. The pizza highlightedhouse-made cured meats that was flavourful without being overly salty. My gnocchi was incredibly soft and pillowy and the dishwas filled with spinach, crispy pancetta and moist chicken. Despite being pretty stuffed from our pasta, we ordered dessert, andwe sure are glad we did. The zeppole were scrumptious balls of sugared, deep fried dough accompanied with some lemon curd.
