We went here for dinner while our daughter was across the street at an escape room. The atmosphere is very cozy and cottage... feeling with a.good open space. When we arrived it prior to the start of dinner rush so conversation over the table was easy butas the room filled the volume grew and it became more difficult to have a casual conversation. The service was quick andfriendly. The server had very good knowledge of the menu items. We had the steak bits to start and they were excellent. I hadthe french onion soup and it was very hot and flavorful perfect for this cold day. We ordered the chicken Parm with lemonpotato's and the lobster ravioli. The flavors tasted great and we both ended up swapping half though because of how much weenjoyed each other's food. I can't wait to return. Read more

Wow. Took a stab at this place and was pleasantly surprised. Food was superb! Came out fast and was as tasty as described. We... had two different chicken items and both were perfect! Loved the broccoli appetizer too. Service was professional and upperlevel! Our server loved her job and the restaurant. Always good when you see that. Prices were normal for a great qualityplace and portions were large. Going to try the wine Wednesday?s next! Read more

Nice large patio, good portion sizes and friendly staff. There was live entertainment on the patio on the evening we were there... which was ok but a bit too loud, as live entertainment often is. The food was good. I had the lamb shank, which were ok butdidn't taste like it was made fresh in house, and garlic mash which was tasty. The side tossed salad was a little strange withquite a lot of almonds and dried cranberries. Top marks for friendly service and nice atmosphere. Read more

Very delicious! We sat out on the patio which was very cute and the chairs were so comfy. Our server was pleasant and the fries... were amazing. The coleslaw was very mild in a delicious way. Cute little restaurant. Read more

This place exceeded all expectations. Got the Prime Rib (their specialty that is only served Friday and Saturday) and received... the roast pictured below. Service was lovely, atmosphere casual, and just a great space to be. If you're heading to the Keg,the Olive Garden of steak houses, just keep driving down the road to this place and get a meal made with some real care. Oh,and the sizzling apple crisp is the real deal. Don't skip it. Read more

This review is reflective of a recent group dining experience at Cork & Flame. It was everyone's first visit, and will likely be... everyone's last. The dining space is huge, patio is nice, live music was good, but the indoor space is too loud to have aconversation. The service staff was friendly and helpful, but also inexperienced and slow. The owner or manager, a gentlemanwho was chatting with tables, bringing out drinks, and advising the wait staff, really ruined the experience for all of us,which I will get to later. Apart from not having many of the menu items available, waiting a long time for everything, watchingother tables served before us even though they arrived later, having items forgotten or incorrect, our meals ranged from good todisappointing. One person soon after experienced some tummy trouble, but this could always be coincidental. One person reallydid not enjoy their meal or experience. This review would have been much better, but because of the owner/manager's lack ofcustomer service skills it gets 1/5. If I could give lower than that, I would. Discussing our table with another table isunprofessional. Patronising people is rude. For the prices they are charging you expect a certain level of quality, andknowledge about how to prepare something and that was lacking. The steak was soggy, no crust or sear, and just didn't look ortaste like it was freshly grilled. Other steaks were ordered (medium well) and were enjoyed but I also would take an assessmentby someone who prefers their steak done that much with a grain of salt. I'm sure many people have a great time here, but interms of value for money, ambience and total dining experience this place was a big L. If you do go I hope your experience ismuch better than ours. *pictured is the lamb shank which was good, but sent the person who ordered it to the bathroom beforeleaving so, who knows. Read more

Good food, huge portions, and probably the best service out here in Winnipeg. Every little thing down to the desserts are made... in-house by their amazing chefs. You can also tell how happy the chefs/servers are. Says a lot about management! Read more

Some friends and I went here last night. I'm always try to find these self made places. Im not a fan of franchise food and its... harder and harder find unique places to go. We seen this while driving and wanted to check it out. This place was very busy andwe had no reservation. They where still very accommodating. Very nice people. Great atmosphere when you walk in. That soft lightout door patio was amazing. Service was super friendly, the food was excellent. Fresh vegetables, the ribeye was cooked med rareperfect. Service was little slow. Not sure if it was cause they where just super busy, maybe receiving from dinner rush or whatwas what. But was worth the wait. I'm definitely going to be back, there is alot more on that menu we want to try. Thanks forhaving us last night! Read more
