The entire ordering process was so easy and they were able to accommodate our catering order with only a few day's notice. The... portions were large and everything was absolutely delicious. It was by far the highlight of our Holiday Party! Read more

The "bakery" selection of bread and buns has gone downhill. They rarely have any products to purchase in the bakery. I have gone... numerous times to purchase buns and even right when they open at 9am they have none other than a bag of discounted old ones, andtell me they won't be making any that day. Also, I have asked why they don't sell all the different types of buns and breadsthat they used to sell (like Fergasa buns, focaccia, olive buns, calabrese buns...etc) and was told that the head baker died andnobody else knows the recipes...I don't understand how the owners of De Luca's do not know, or have their own recipes writtendown somewhere of the items they have been selling for decades, and what a poor excuse as to why you have very few bakery items.Even if that were true, (which I find extremely unlikely) hire a baker who knows how to make a larger variety of Italian bunsand breads than the very few you currently carry. I used to love Deluca's (even used them to cater my weddings midnight snackyears ago!) and would drive 45 min there from my home just to get fresh Fergasa and calabrese buns and deli meats for my familyand will now have to try and find an Italian bakery and store that actually has baked goods to purchase. One of my favourite places to eat and shop in Winnipeg. The quality of their food is great, the staff is friendly, and it is... such a cute little location. I've been coming here for lunch since I was a toddler and coming here for lunch has never lost it'sspecial touch, it is one of my favourite places to share food with friends. Their bakery has yummy cookies & other treats, andtheir pasta and pizza at the restaurant is unmatched. I feel like everywhere I go I am comparing the pasta to DeLuca's pennewith marinara sauce. 5/5 for food and community feel, and prices are reasonable too :) Read more

Seriously the best food in Winnipeg during the pandemic. Fresh and no supply chain mess like restaurants. Great ingredients and... awesome cheeses, fresh chicken sausage is amazing. Overall amazing beef lasagna and amazing Alfredo sauce. My personal favoriteNapoleon cake slice. Upstairs the cashier you pay for the hot food is super rude and made sure she got NO TIP from me. Otherstaff upstairs deserved it the tip, sorry ladies. Read more

De Luca?s is a fun place to shop. Their prices are higher for basic items you can easily get at larger grocery stores, but the... pull of this place are their specialty items that they make on site. The fennel sausage is especially good and they have anarray of fresh pasta which is perfect should you host an Italian dinner and you want to make something with free noodles. Theirbakery is pretty good and they have a fine selection of speciality olive oils and vinegars (you can taste a number of them ifyou ask). Some of their imports are good too (e.g., canned cerignola olives) and are tough to find elsewhere. I?ve checked outsome of their cooking classes in the past. It?s fun, but observational only while seated at group tables. Still, it can be anice evening with friends with decent food. I?ve never tried the restaurant upstairs for lunch, but I hear it?s good. Excellent, as always. I always phone ahead to order my lamb shoulder from them, always end up leaving with a bag of... tricks.Probably the best one stop shopping spot for any gourmand. De Luca's Lamb is always brilliantly tender, and wellripened. It is well worth the 20 km round trip from our home. Read more
