The gentleman I spoke this afternoon over the phone when I was ordering for food pick up is very knowledgeable. He knows his... stuff especially the bestsellers! From the packaging up to the quality of the butter chicken with steamed basmati rice & sidesalad, it is worth every penny. I was touched by the nice lady staff when she offered me to sit on one of the dining chairswhile I was waiting for food to pick up. It only took me a few minutes of waiting for the food to be ready. She did even offerme a thank you card for free complimentary naan in my next dinner. 5 - star Google review for the wonderful experience that Igot this evening!!! Read more

We went to try the Indian buffet for the first time in Winnipeg. Everything was good. They had a huge variety in buffet with... plenty of vegan options as well. The owner came to check on us a few times. The only thing where I was disappointed was thebread like naan and roti were separate from the buffet. So, we had to pay extra. Overall we had a good experience and will becoming back to try their A la carte menu. Read more

I have tried the lunch buffet at the East India Company and it’s a good experience. They serve Indian Dishes on the buffet... Menu and all their items are Halal. Their Beef Kofta, Lamb Curry and Chilli Sausage tasted delicious comparing with the rest ofthe dishes. Rest of the dishes were as usual. The desert section is highly recommended. They have a nice interior design whichgives a South East Asian Vibes. Read more

I can't believe I've never reviewed these guys before. YEARS ago when I lived elsewhere my brother took myself and our parents... here after I returned from a trip to a India. I couldn't believe how delicious it was but I had only been in a India 3 months,so I was no Indian food connoisseur. Shortly thereafter I decided to return to India and then unexpectedly STAYED because I metthe love of my life (Indian) and we remained there 5 years. When we returned to Canada, I DID consider myself a connoisseur!???? And obvs the husband is, too! We've been to loads of Indian restaurants in this city and this is the one we continue toreturn to. Authentic taste. Authentic design. Huge buffet selection. And they even let our kids sit on the marble lions forpictures. Price for kids is super reasonable. Their age + 0.95. And the owner, who has been there most of the times we've gone,is a super friendly, genuine guy. Treats each guest like they are important. This place is a win every time! Read more

One of the best place in Winnipeg to eat Indian food. It is one of the oldest restaurants in the city and offer lavish buffet... options to diner. I ordered lentils and rice for the day. The food is really good as the owner knows the species well. They areselling species also. The ambiance is nice and has rich heritage feel. Had brief interaction with the owners and found themnice and courteous. Read more
