There was a few places within walkin distance from my new place,I recently relocated from Toronto, I decided upon Leo's. I had a... classic cheeseburger/w mixed greens. Delicious. Had a Leo's lager, exactly what you think it would taste like. Environment waslovely. Felt like a mid 30s crowd was lively but no obnoxious. Bartender was attentive, and doubled back to ask how it was.Bears gb game on, f*ck the bears. Won't even bother trying anything else out. 10/10 will return. Read more
Food was quite good. Service, friendly and adequate. Great atmosphere, lots of light. Didn't love the 18% minimum suggested... tip on the machine, which was calculated on the total AFTER tax. Also didn't love the server standing directly beside me staringat the keypad as I settled the bill. Management should take a good hard look at this. Read more
Here is my review: Food Quality: The Leo's sour beer is amazing. Also can't go wrong with the bucket of bacon or the deep fried... pickles. Honestly everything at Leo's is amazing. The curly fries are tasty and best in the city. Totally explains why Arby'swent out of business because Leo's makes the best curly fries. Customer Service: Thank you Tyler for being an amazing host.Can't wait to see you at the opening of the new Transcona location. Timeliness: Flyer approached us within minutes of sittingdown and took order. Beer was in my hands and I was a happy guy. Food was prompt and no complaints. The first time we visited, service and food was amazing! Second, took 10 - 15 minutes to even get acknowledged, and the server... was awful. Didn't tell us her name, wouldn't tell us what was on for happy hour, insisted we download the drink menu instead oftelling us about anything. Then, when we finally ordered from the menu, informed us there were no buckets because of burgerweek... Probably would have known that if you told us and didn't direct us to the menu? Also spent 5 minutes dancing with a guywith a baby strapped to his chest instead of taking anyone's order. He was clearly not a customer. Just came in, put his baby'sfeet on a table, talked and left. Excellent experience in restaurant despite the waitress not having acknowledged the presence of myself and the other individual... I was with. Was met with hostile remarks upon leaving the bar as though, as a customer spending over 90$+ the security guard whowas initially kind and friendly then assumed public/human rights were not known. Was coerced and mildly threatened. Was thenfollowed by security for 2-3 blocks, near my home, in which also caused other home owners to come outside concerned over thematter. I am entirely baffled by the audacity and unwillingness to speak over something that was mishandled entirely, whilebeing respectful yet not met with the same regard. I mentioned I started to record the interaction and was then threatenedfurther. Identification, house keys, and debit/credit cards were offered and was told by security that he 'did not want them' --yet physically intimidated myself and my partner continuously for over 15 minutes over a marginal matter. This occurred thisevening. Being mocked, ridiculed, threatened, and chased, is entirely inappropriate. To be made to feel unsafe is cruel and thisshould not be regarded as acceptable in any sense of a functioning business. People should know their rights, articulate them,and not be made to feel unsafe and threatened. The event that happened was illegal, atrocious, and highly inappropriate. Food was pretty good, went with a friend and ordered the Monday bucket asked for it to brought out before the entrees, waited 20... minutes which was fine but 2 minutes later the entrees were brought out anyway and by the time we were finished our appetizersthe entrees were cold. Server was meh at best, brought drink refills twice but other then that she just disappeared for 45minutes we just sat there waiting, I wanted to order dessert but I wasn't gonna wait probably an extra 30 minutes to receive itand for the server to come back again. *EDIT* Originally I left a 2 star review but I switch to a 1 star as they message measking for more info I provided what they asked told me they would get back to me in 1-2 days.
