The good news?we called to place an order and the lady we spoke with on the phone was lovely, polite, and profession. Because of... her, we were already liking this place. Unfortunately, though the menu sounds good, the sandwiches are really underwhelming. Ihad the pesto wrap; the chicken was good, but it was missing the balsamic, and the sun dried tomatoes were not rehydrated so itwas like trying to chew through leather (the best sun dried tomatoes are stored in olive oil to retain a tender texture). Myhusband had a gluten-free panini with chicken and artichokes, and his was a very sad-looking sandwich (definitely not worth$11). They do give a lot of chips to accompany the sandwiches, but the sandwich should be the hero. I think if they beefed uptheir sandwiches and added some additional ingredients for flavor, that might help. Read more

Cute and unique coffee shop. Love the ambiance and the library in the back. Pastries made fresh and whatever isn't sold that day... will be on sale for $1 the next day. Definitely a must visit. Read more

Hands down the absolute best place to eat in Winona! I stayed in Winona for 4 days, and ate there multiple times. I ate a... variety of foods including the apple crisp latte (iced and hot), vanilla steamer, apple cider, quiches, breakfast burrito, turkey cheddar panini and pesto garlic wrap. It's hard to pick a favorite, it was all good. The panini was a game changer, I'mgoing to be dreaming about that for a while. Read more

Our favorite place in town. We go, usually, at least once a week. I?m a switch up kind of gal - so I love trying all the... specials! My favorites are probably the iced earl grey with lavender cold foam and the tuna sandwich special on Fridays. Thespicy feta is also a must. Might as well grab a baked good too! Read more

My job relocated me downtown so I thought I would try Blooming Grounds for lunch. The food was great, I just wish it was the... food that I had ordered. I asked for a Thai Peanut Wrap and when the gentleman called my name I grabbed my food and walked the 5blocks back to the office. I took and bite it was not what I ordered. I had to look at their menu to figure out what I waseating. Looks like they gave me a Pesto wrap instead. It was still delicious, but I was really craving some peanut sauce. Nexttime I'll have to make sure to check to make sure it was made correctly. Read more

I?ve eaten here at this location several times now, and the food & drinks are always excellent. They do an extremely good job of... accommodating our gluten free needs, including having both GF buns and a cauliflower GF bread. My daughter always loves theirCremosa (French soda) and orders the lavender. I?ve tried a few different espresso drinks and iced tea, and all are excellent.Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. It can get very busy at times, so plan accordingly. Read more

Blooming Grounds is such a cute and fun little coffee shop. I came here on a visit to Winona after questing for a coffee shop... for several hours, and was not disappointed at all. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the food was great (I had themushroom and brie soup with a side salad), and the drinks were great (I had the lavender matcha). The atmosphere is welcomingand cozy, with plenty of seating options and a great vibe. I hope to visit Winona again soon, in which case I will definitelystop here for my beverage needs. ???? I always read the lowest reviews, but rarely have I ever had similar experiences. The one star review by a former employee was... very interesting (actually kind of funny). I have always had a good experience. The food has been very good and the drinks Ihave had have also been good. I like that they support local musicians even though not all the music is what I like, but that isjust personal preference. Read more
