Needed a quick meal before an appointment in Winona. Not been to a Perkins in a while but liked that they were doing a 'burger,... fries & pie' special. Price was good and the food was too. The lemon meringue pie was a disappointment. Server was really niceand handling all tables alone, but she was very good, calm and super friendly. The restaurant was cold and we were almost at thepoint of keeping our jackets on. Place is looking a little tired and in need of some attention here and there. Restrooms weredisgusting! Read more
Showed up on a Sunday morning waited 10min to be seated .. my white neighbor in suit got served within 5 min we .. waiter kept... giving us an eye ..took her 1.5hrs when we asked the manager who would be serving us ..server-old lady in glasses that walksfast..took her 30 more minutes to bring the food out and was the wrong order. The manager was not courteous at all. We were in 50 minutes before closing and she immediately told us "We close at 8." before...

Ordered a chicken fried steak and eggs with a side of mashed potatoes. It took a while for the food to arrive, but we weren't... looking for fast food. It was your typical frozen patty. Not bad, but nothing worth noting either. I ordered my eggs overmedium, and they were a little over cooked. The mashed potatoes had a hard crust on the outside like they had sat under a heatlamp for a while. The white gravy was decent, but there just wasn't very much of it. When I asked for a little more, I was toldthat there would be an extra charge. My white toast was burnt, and should have never been put on the plate. My coworkers seemedto enjoy their food. Server seemed less than thrilled to be there and short. He was however attentive. The food was not as good as I liked it to be.
I ate breakfast there today and the food was delicious, my server was Heather who was Amazing! They All did an incredible job... even tho they were short help!! It's too bad for them having a team leader, named Sheryl, who didn't even respond to me when Itold her the food and service was Great. I asked her if she even heard me and she responded with, you said the food was good.That's it...no smile or even a thank you for the compliment! This was a major happy surprise. Manager introduced our server - Chase. Chase was fabulous. Everything came out hot and... delicious. Country fried steak was flavorful. We even ordered desert to take home - per our servers recommendation. Totaland complete win. Certainly will return. Read more
We usually love going to Perkins but the hostess, Cheryl, who is there is rude and discourteous. The last time we went in she... told us the wait would be 40 min. I got the impression she was trying to get us to leave. Our food then took 1.5 hours to comeout. This time we went in and asked her what the wait time would be on the food. She got huffy and told us ?We?re short staffedand I can?t do everything!? We looked at her a little stunned at her rude outburst and then walked out. Most times we?re atPerkins we?ve noticed her to be short and rude to customers. It?s off-putting and Perkins really would do well to find a newhostess. Read more
