Saw this place on Munchies. Didn't know how big the sandwiches really were. Ordered too much. Really good sandwiches here. Kids... loved the giant cookies. Read more

First off let me say that their hospitality was exceptional! My friend and I stopped in after a camping trip at Isle Au Haut,... Maine which is 2 hours out of the our way home, but we have been wanting to try Big G's, so we went on our adventure. We gotthere 2 hours later to find that they were closing early due the heat. They informed us that there was no AC in the kitchen andthe temperature in the kitchen was pushing 120 degrees. We told the employees that we were from out of state and that we havebeen wanting to try Big G's for a while. After hearing where we from, they made an exception and let us in. At first they saidthat we can only have cold sandwiches, but one of the cooks came out and greeted us and said told us order what we wanted andthat she would not have a problem cooking for us. We felt special! Thank you for a great experience! Read more

Ever have a bad morning? We got breakfast at Big G's! I'm thinking one of our rarely-get-to-go-to favorites was having... one... The gentleman behind the register, seemed to be handling everything, cooking not included... he had a helper that seemedto flit here and there behind him... not really accomplishing anything. Unfortunately, this helper didn't seem to want to listenwhen they took our order. By the time we had finished ordering, we had $13 extra on our receipt and a ready block buzzer. Sowe sat at our table to look it over, taking into account that our meals might have been a dollar or 2 more because of how themenus prices weren't accurate... still didn't make sense so we requested an itemized receipt. Sure enough, there was adifferent meal on there we didn't order. So was able get a refund there. Phew! No need to be paying for something that wewon't eat, right?! Nope! The person who took off the meal also removed a meal that we did want and paid for, and we never gotit! Our ready block buzzed saying our meal was ready a few seconds after getting the refund, and let's just say we're probablyjust gonna stick to eating the sandwiches when we visit! Breakfast was a massive let down of an experience. Classic Crepeswere good, as well as the bacon. Nothing too great, but at least I got those. Read more

The food is always fantastic, but eating in has become unpleasant. It's always crowded, noisy and chaotic. I recommend take out... or sitting outside at the picnic table. Read more

Watched a feature of this adorable institution and just had to try it for myself. Big G's is known for their large slices of... homemade bread and it does not disappoint! The menu is wide and varied, and features cute, punny, names. Worth a visit! Read more
