This used to be the best Chinese restaurant anywhere around. Loved it. They took pride in what they made. I was a regular for... over 25 years. After the new people took over I had Chili Chicken. My go to dish. It wasn?t good. I waited a couple of weeks andtried the Darjeeling Noodles. Not good. I waited a couple of more weeks, in hopes that they would get it together. I orderedagain, with a friend. I ask what he thought. He said I don?t think we ever need to eat there again. I?ve waited several monthsand went in today for a lunch. I did not set the bar high. I ordered Steamed Dumplings, and an Egg Roll. I got a friendMongolian Beef. The Egg Roll was doable but the dumplings were horrible. Soggy nastiness. My friends Mongolian Beef was burned.So that?s it. Do not waste your money or time. These people can?t cook and haven?t made an attempt to get better. One of thebest is now gone, forever. Food presentation was great and the sauce was excellent but the breaded chicken in the Orange Chicken was very much not up to... par. It was maybe 10% chicken and 90% random stuff and breading so not much meat at all. The atmosphere looked almost like theywere closing down as many lights were off and there was bit of stuff being stored. This is a good place to go for a quick biteto eat but not so much if you're looking for a fancy atmosphere. Read more
Food was excellent! Very authentic! We had Velvet Chicken corn soup with Chicken, Ma Po BeanCurd & fried dumplings! Portions... were large! The meal was delicious! We will return! Read more
I ordered shrimp chow mien and it?s not like any other chow mien I?ve had it had a lot of onions; it was decent the sauce was... good. My mom ordered Szechuan pork and it was very delicious. The fried rice was ok. I don?t know if it?s just me but the foodis never hot it?s always luke warm. Read more
The Chinese take out and buffet restaurants are great, but if you want the ABSOLUTE best Chinese in Winston Salem (that I know... of), you have to come to Szechuan Palace! Read more

We have been regulars for years but under new ownership food is not as good. Tonight food was almost inedible. Chicken chow mein... did not look like any kind of chicken I've ever seem. Pork egg foo young did not taste good. Sweet and sour chicken was soggy.Won ton noodles were gooey. Service was just ok. We will not go back ever. Read more
